Obsession star Inde Navarrette does not just watch anime; she actually tries to understand the nuances and themes. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Star, the actress revealed that she began studying films in the period between the completion and release of the breakout horror movie of 2026.
In the interview, Navarette noted that she likes anime and she questioned herself why she likes them. In her own words, “Jujutsu Kaisen is a very fascinating anime,” because it plays with timelines. Navarette, who is set to play Marvel’s Rogue, compared the fan-favorite anime with another classic, Demon Slayer. “With Demon Slayer, they don’t, it’s very linear. And what does that mean and how does that affect with storytelling? I really dove into, ‘Why is Jujutsu Kaisen so good?'” she told THR.
While looking for answers, she learned about the timeline and storyline. Ultimately, this helped her understand her own craft. Inde Navarette noted that she learned, “how a person can have a monologue at the beginning of the episode that matters two episodes later or even at the end, and that person’s dead and you don’t learn it until then — and then attaching that to my screenwriting and trying to learn that way.” The Obsession star has been a perfect geek all this time.
