Sporty Spice, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, and Dingwall celebrated with friends and family on Sunday at The Country House, a lakeside Victorian manor in Cumbria, England, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Bandmates, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, and Geri Horner were in attendance, but Beckham had to pass on the festivities as she was with her husband, former soccer star David Beckham, for the final weekend of the World Cup with England playing France for third place Saturday and Spain facing off against Argentina in Sunday’s final.

Though Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, may have missed the wedding, she more than made up for her absence by offering to design Mel C’s wedding dress.

Dinner led to dress offer

Speaking to the magazine, Posh said she first found out about the nuptials when she met up with Mel C, just before she flew Down Under to make it official.

“I was actually having dinner with Melanie and asked her what she was up to,” the singer-turned-fashion-designer recalled. “She very casually told me she was leaving for Australia in two days and getting married!”

When Beckham asked what she was wearing, she said Mel C told her that she was wearing one of her dresses, but couldn’t get alterations in time for her trip.

“I happened to have that exact dress in my own wardrobe and offered to lend it to her,” Posh said.

Mel C ended up wearing the “Lace Cami Dress,” an ivory slip dress, at her Australian wedding and another custom Beckham dress for her wedding in England.

“Victoria’s dress was my something borrowed,” Mel C told Vogue. “It was very special, having her there.”

Speaking to Vogue, Mel C said she first met Dingwall on the dating app Raya in 2023, and she was shocked when Dingwall proposed to her while the two were vacationing in Mallorca last July.

The 52-year-old previously dated her manager, Joe Marshall, and shares her 17-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Thomas Starr.
