Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 Roadmap Breakdown: New Events, Skins and More

Season 7.5 of Marvel Rivals went live on April 17, and NetEase Games wasted no time making it clear this isn’t a quiet mid-season filler patch. There’s a new hero already in your roster, a PvE mode on the way, a fashion event, an MCU crossover mode, and Season 8 charging toward us faster than expected.

On that note, below is a breakdown of everything coming your way between now and May 15 when the next season goes live, broken down by week.

Marvel Rivals Season 7.5: April 17 Content Drop (Live Now)

The second half of Season 7 opened with Black Cat swinging into Marvel Rivals as the game’s 49th hero and our newest Duelist. She’s already live, and so is everything else that dropped alongside her on launch day.

Here’s what went live on April 17:

• New hero: Black Cat (Duelist)
• New event: ESU Open Day
• New accessory: Black Cat’s Symbiote Spider-Man Plush
• New skins: Black Cat (Urban Predator), Spider-Man (Peter Parker: The Photographer), Blade (Space Outlaws)

Black Cat’s kit is notably complex, and the community is still actively figuring out how to get the most out of her. On the other hand, the ESU Open Day event pass adds Squirrel Girl and Psylocke to the ESU College Life set of cosmetics via its premium tier, while the free track hands out the Black & Gold recolor for Mantis.

Marvel Rivals Season 7.5: April 24 Content Drop

This is the week where Season 7.5 really gets going. Two separate content drops hit on the same date, and either one of them alone would make for a busy week. Here’s everything set to arrive on April 24:

• New PvE mode: Blood Hunt
• New event: Hellfire Gala 2026
• New skins: Magik (Hellfire Gala 2026), Gambit (Hellfire Gala 2026)

Blood Hunt will be the game’s second PvE mode after the Marvel Zombies crossover event, and it does sound like a step up in scope. In the latest Dev Vision vlog, Creative Director Guangguang outlined “an all-new storyline, four epic new boss battles, a fresh hero progression and trait system, and a brand-new loot system,” describing it as the “next chapter of Marvel Rivals PvE.”

The Hellfire Gala 2026 will be the second time the event has appeared in the game’s lifecycle and will introduce skins for five heroes in total across its run.

Marvel Rivals Season 7.5: May 1 Content Drop

May 1st is when Marvel Rivals will start feeding directly into the broader 2026 MCU pipeline. NetEase announced the Path to Doomsday event series last month as a months-long crossover campaign running parallel to the road to Avengers: Doomsday, and this is where it officially begins.

Here’s everything landing on May 1:

• New PvP mode: Path to Doomsday: The Avengers
• New skins: Loki (The Avengers), Iron Man (The Avengers), Elsa Bloodstone (Black, White and Broom)

The new mode will be an asymmetric 1v6 setup in which one player takes on the role of a significantly powered-up Loki, facing a six-player team of heroes. Those six heroes are the original Avengers from the 2012 film, which means Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Iron Man are all in play on the heroic side of things.

NetEase has confirmed (via X) that Loki will get an entirely reworked skill set for this mode (built around deception, illusions, and Infinity Stone abilities), and that Hulk can be summoned by the hero team under specific conditions, nodding to that iconic moment from the film.

Marvel Rivals Season 7.5: May 8 Content Drop

The final weekly content drop before Season 8 will be a lighter one by design, and that’s perfectly understandable given what’s around the corner on May 15. Here’s what’s dropping on May 8:

• New skins: Winter Soldier (Space Outlaws), Venom (War of the Realms)

Two skins, no new mode, no new event; this is Marvel Rivals winding down the Season 7.5 content engine to make room for the Season 8 launch. Winter Soldier joining the Space Outlaws set alongside Blade will be a fun thematic fit, and a Venom War of the Realms skin is about as visually chaotic as it sounds.

Marvel Rivals May 15 Update: Season 8 Goes Live

Season 8 will officially launch on May 15, bringing its own full roadmap, new heroes, and a fresh wave of events and skins.

Not much has been confirmed about who’s coming next season yet, but the final Gallery Card in the Season 7 battle pass has the community fairly convinced that it’s pointing toward Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur as a duo alongside Cyclops. Whether that pans out officially remains to be seen, but if the pattern of the past few seasons holds, we’ll get a confirmation in the week of May 11!
