GOOD FOR THE GOOSE
I await the day when mainstream media members ask Mark Carney this simple question: You want Canadians to avoid the U.S. like the plague while you have over 90% of your investments in American firms. Why is the U.S. very bad for Canadians, but very good for you?

NOT SO SUPER
The suggestion, an instruction in the U.S., that Artificial Intelligence now be called “super intelligence” seems silly and pointless. I, however, as a child of the ’60s, first think of super as being superheroes, but now I wonder about people who wear their underpants on the outside and wear masks. These masks were to hide from everyone, just like the ICE people now, although they would be seen as antiheroes. I am sure it is just yet another media stunt, either to get more coverage, as Donald Trump has banned many outlets, or to distract from something else, such as the Epstein files.

EDUCATION REFORM
Re “Schools still teaching kids that Canada, being white are the real problems” (Brian Lilley, Sept. 22): The only way Doug Ford and Paul Calandra will eliminate the insanity in Ontario’s educational system is to introduce a voucher system. Give parents more choice over what type of education their children receive. If given the choice, how many parents would opt to have their children taught that mathematics is racist? We need to reform our educational system before it is too late.

DECEPTIVE NUMBERS
Re “Dumbing down the deficit” (Editorial, Sept. 22): The Japanese have a saying, that which is monitored tends to improve. After 10 years of Trudeau’s monster deficits, it’s refreshing to hear a Liberal PM even talk about balance. It’s too bad he is doing it by deceit rather than in earnest and insulting our intelligence in the process.
