Geography is a fickle mistress. World oil prices are up as Iran controls a small strait. Canada would be wealthier if Quebec had oil and Alberta had dairy farms. We would have pipelines everywhere and the dairy marketing board would have been removed many decades ago.

(That is an interesting observation. Alas, such is not the situation)

IRAN FOLIES

Ever since the late 1970’s, all intelligence and military services warned the commander-in-chief, not to go to war with Iran. From Jimmy Carter to Joe Biden, they listened to these advisers — because they knew something about Iran. Then comes Donald Trump. He wouldn’t listen to the intelligence, but to people who don’t know. The president thought he knew more than them and look at things now. Prices are through the roof for nearly everything and he has no idea how to get out of this mess he created.

SLOGANEERING

The Liberals kept making fun of Pierre Poilievre for his slogans like “Axe the Tax.” Now we have Mark Carney with a “Build Canada Strong” slogan. So what exactly does that mean and how is it different from “Make America Great Again?” How is “strong” that much different than “great?” See! When a Conservative makes a slogan it is ridiculed and mocked but when a Liberal makes the same kind of slogan, it is A-OK. Liberal hypocrites!

(Didn’t you know the Liberals are the self proclaimed owners of everything patriotic)

BOBBLEHEADS FOR ALL

Why is it that people have to line up for hours to get the giveaway at Blue Jays games and hope they are one of the 15,000 who get one. With the money the Jays make every game I think they can afford to give everyone one so people do not need to line up. There is time this year to change your policy. Go Jays!

Alex Ritchie
Scarborough

(Yes they sure could make it happen)
