Liberals say everything in riddles so that we can’t understand what’s going on and when asked explain nothing. There is no honesty with any of them and they refuse to answer any questions truthfully.

A VOTE AGAINST BIBI

Re “Antisemitic virus has infected leaders on the Left, Right and Centre” (Warren Kinsella, July 18) I agree with Kinsella that Israel is a “diverse, vibrant, pluralistic democracy” within its internationally recognized boundaries. However, in the occupied territories it is the equivalent of an apartheid state. It does not recognize the equal human rights of the Palestinian residents of those territories. Politicians, including members of the U.S. House of Representatives, should have the ability to pressure Israel to change its policies in the West Bank and Gaza without being accused of being antisemitic. The recent vote by many Democratic members of the House against a military subsidy to Israel was not antisemitic. It was a vote against a subsidy, not a vote for an arms embargo. Canada has a partial arms embargo on sales to Israel. My guess is that the majority of Democrats who voted against the subsidy were not antisemitic but simply concerned with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies in the occupied territories.
