Around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, police officers responded to a report of a shooting near Union Street and Barnet Highway, and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He is now in hospital, in stable condition.

“Initial indications suggest this incident was targeted,” said Port Moody police Constable Sam Zacharias. “We are asking anyone with information or dash camera footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact us.”

The investigation is still its early stages. So far, no suspects have been identified.
