Lady Dimitrescu Actor Maggie Robertson Is Ready to Return to Resident Evil If Capcom Calls

Lady Dimitrescu remains one of the most talked-about villains Capcom’s Resident Evil series has ever produced, and the actor behind her isn’t done with the role just yet.

Maggie Robertson, who lent both her voice and motion-capture performance to the character in Resident Evil Village, has reaffirmed that she would jump at the opportunity to bring the character back if Capcom ever picked up the phone. Here’s what Robertson has said about a potential comeback, and why Lady Dimitrescu remains one of Capcom’s most requested characters years after her debut.

Speaking with IGN, Robertson didn’t hesitate when asked whether she’d want to play her character again, describing her willingness to return as an easy, immediate yes:

“Oh, of course!” she said. “A hundred times, yes. She’s my firstborn. So anytime they call, I will say happy days.”

Moreover, since her breakout role in Village, Robertson’s career has expanded well beyond Resident Evil. She has gone on to work on major titles such as God of War Ragnarok, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Destiny 2, building a reputation as one of the more sought-after performance-capture actors currently in the industry.

Lady Dimitrescu became an internet sensation almost overnight after her reveal in Resident Evil Village’s marketing back in 2021. Standing at over nine feet tall and dripping with gothic menace, the character quickly overshadowed nearly every other figure in the game, inspiring a wave of fan art and memes before the game had even launched.

Robertson’s motion-capture and voice performance went on to earn her much-deserved recognition, including a Game Award for Best Performance and a Golden Joystick Award, along with other award nominations.

The twist is that Lady Dimitrescu’s actual screen time in Village was relatively brief, and her story arc was finished within the game itself. Despite that, Capcom has continued to use her image for promotional purposes, mostly around the release push for new Resident Evil games. Requiem even includes a cosmetic nod to the character, letting players unlock a Dimitrescu-inspired look for one of the new cast members.

For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, and Lady Dimitrescu is not expected to appear as a playable character in any upcoming Resident Evil games.
