Kevin on Prime Video Full Voice Cast Guide: Every Actor in Amazon’s Latest Original

Prime Video is kicking off one of its most unique originals this weekend. Kevin is a brand new adult animated comedy premiering April 20, 2026, and the premise is equal parts absurd and genuinely heartfelt – a cat ditches his humans after they split up and moves into a rescue shelter in Queens to figure out his life.

It’s also based on a true story. Co-creators Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert wrote it straight from their own real-life split, real cat included. The show features a mix of series regulars and over 20 guest stars, and some of those guest names will catch you off guard. Here’s the full cast.

1 Jason Schwartzman as Kevin

If you needed to cast a neurotic, loveable cat who is going through it, Jason Schwartzman was always going to be the answer. He has spent years playing slightly unhinged, deeply endearing characters across seven Wes Anderson films, voiced the villain in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and somehow still feels underrated.

He plays Kevin, a tuxedo cat who decides that his owners’ breakup is actually his breakup too, and moves into a Queens rescue shelter to figure out who he is without them. He also co-wrote the title song (via Amazon MGM Studios Press).

2 Aubrey Plaza as Dana

Aubrey Plaza has had a remarkable few years. The White Lotus got her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Emily the Criminal proved she could lead a film entirely on her own.

She voices Dana, the woman at the center of the breakup that starts everything. She also co-created the whole show with Joe Wengert, and yes, it is based on their actual real-life split.

3 Whoopi Goldberg as Cupcake

Whoopi Goldberg is one of the very few people alive with an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony, all four (via IMDb). She won the Oscar for Ghost in 1991 and has been co-hosting The View since 2007.

She voices Cupcake, a feral hairless cat who is technically a resident at Furrever Friends rescue but is really just using the place as a base to run cons. The character suits her energy completely.

4 ⁠Amy Sedaris as Brandi

Amy Sedaris built her cult following co-writing and starring in Strangers with Candy, then followed it up with her surreal TruTV series At Home with Amy Sedaris. She has a long history in animation, too, including a recurring role on BoJack Horseman.

She voices Brandi, Seth’s Shih Tzu, technically a dog, but very clearly the one actually running Furrever Friends rescue.

5 John Waters as Armando

John Waters is 80 this month, has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, made Pink Flamingos and Hairspray, and is now voicing a sarcastic cat on Prime Video. One of American independent cinema’s most recognizable figures, Waters shows no signs of stopping.

Armando is a gorgeous, sarcastic Persian cat who decided humans are not worth his energy and structured his entire life around that. A filmmaker who has spent decades celebrating outcasts who reject society is now voicing a cat who rejects humans. Armando might just be his spirit animal.

6 Aparna Nancherla as Judy

Aparna Nancherla has one of the driest, most distinctive voices in comedy right now, both literally and as a performer. She is best known for Moon on The Great North and Hollyhock on BoJack Horseman, and released her debut full-length special Hopeful Potato in late 2025.

Judy is a sickly Scottish Fold kitten who is somehow still the most optimistic character in the entire show. She genuinely believes the perfect human is coming for her. It is funny and oddly moving.

7 Gil Ozeri as Seth

Gil Ozeri is a co-executive producer on Big Mouth and wrote every single season finale of the show across its entire run. He also has writing credits on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Happy Endings, and got his start at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York.

In Kevin, he voices Seth, the genuinely well-meaning guy who runs Furrever Friends rescue, and loves his animals so much that every single one of them takes advantage of him.

The one confirmed character detail so far is that Patti LuPone voices a Broadway pony named Patti LuPony. The rest remains a mystery until April 20, when the series will finally be released.
