Kanye West and Diddy, currently two of pop culture’s biggest drama magnets, are always making headlines. But were they enemies all along? The rumor mill went wild again in 2024 when Ye reportedly gave Diddy the cold shoulder at Rolling Loud. But it turns out this wasn’t always the case; in fact, the two were quite fond of one another!
Despite Ye’s very public spat with Jay-Z, both were seen living it up at Diddy’s over-the-top birthday bash, where they looked like they were ready to bury the hatchet. Ye was also seen having fun with Diddy that night as per Billboard.
The Can’t Tell Me Nothing singer also pulled a surprise appearance at the 2022 BET Awards to honor Diddy with the Lifetime Achievement Award, showering him with compliments. He said,
This man has been through and survived a lot of stuff and broke down a lot of doors so we can be standing. He broke down so many doors of classism, taste, culture, swag. Puff, if I never told you, I love you. You’re my brother

During an interview on The Breakfast Club, he played the role of defender, calling Ye a “free thinker” and insisting that a lot of what Kanye says and does gets “misconstrued.”
But then came the drama, as Kanye West did not appreciate Diddy’s opinions about his antics! The fallout from that tee shirt kicked off a feud that has turned their friendship from buddy-buddy to full-on rivals, with both now seemingly hating each other’s guts.
Inside Lauren Pisciotta’s Lawsuit Against Kanye West
Now it looks like Kanye West’s friendship with Diddy might have backfired on him big time! His former assistant is suing, claiming that he drugged and sexually assaulted her during a studio session co-hosted by none other than Diddy.

These claims are part of her wrongful termination lawsuit, which also includes accusations of explicit texts and inappropriate photos from him.
In the complaint filed on October 8, Pisciotta details how she began working with West in July 2021 to assist with his Yeezy women’s fashion line and his album, Donda. She was invited to a studio session in Santa Monica co-hosted by West and Diddy, where attendees felt pressured to drink. While Diddy is named as a co-host, Pisciotta is not accusing him of any wrongdoing, as he faces his own legal troubles, and a plethora of them. The filing alleges that a studio assistant, at West’s request, served Pisciotta a drink that left her feeling disoriented after just a few sips.
