The real-life Straw Hat Pirates are getting ready for their adventures in the One Piece live-action series for the second season. Thus, they need to be ready and become stronger if they want to defeat him and move forward. And while almost every member of the crew is training and getting stronger, the only two members who showed any actual growth were Taz Skylar, who plays Sanji, and Iñaki Godoy, who plays the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, in the live-action series.

Recently, Godoy shared a story on Instagram where he and Skylar were seen flexing their “abs” while shooting the second season of One Piece live-action. While Skylar’s growth was genuinely visible, Godoy decided to wear a t-shirt with abs printed on it to compete with Skylar. This comedic banter proved that they were having fun and enjoying their time on the sets of the Netflix series.

Iñaki Godoy and Taz Skylar Show Off Their Abs

Ever since the second season of Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation has been announced, the actors who play the significant roles in the series are getting ready to do justice to their characters. Be it Mackenyu (Zoro) or Skylar, every member of the Straw Hat Pirate is training hard to get ready for the dangers that lie ahead in their journey to Alabasta.

And ever since the production of the series started, the actors have also gotten serious and are focused on giving their best performance. However, this seriousness while filming the series doesn’t stop their fun and good time. This was proved by an Instagram story posted by Godoy along with Taz Skylar.

In the story, both actors are seen flexing their abs, and while Skylar’s growth is evidently visible, Godoy just decided to comedically fool his fans by wearing an ab-printed t-shirt.

The story got a lot of views, and the common thought among the One Piece fans was that Godoy needed to hit the gym.

Luffy’s Growth After East Blue Saga

As the One Piece live-action series has only covered the majority of the East Blue saga, Luffy’s growth is not much reflected in the series. In fact, the only major villain he has fought as of yet is Arlong. His real journey starts when he enters the Grandline. And the first stop in Grandline for him is Alabasta.

Here, he will face the real danger as he will be going head-to-head with a Warlord of the Sea. This will also be the first arc where he will witness defeat for the first time, which would be a learning curve for him. Although fans already know how the battle between Luffy and Crocodile goes, the live-action series will hopefully bring a new twist to it.

Thus, Iñaki Godoy needs to be ready for whatever danger is thrown in his way and prepare for an enticing battle that will be the highlight of One Piece live-action season 2. Fans can’t wait to see how the Alabasta saga unfolds in the upcoming season of One Piece live-action.

One Piece live-action is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
