The next game from Kojima productions titled OD (Overdose), is a horror game published by Xbox Game Studios. The game will be starring Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier. It has been written by Jordan Peele and Hideo Kojima.

Overdose Is Getting A Lot of Criticism For All The Wrong Reasons

Recently, a Reddit user bashed the game by calling it a LGBTQ propaganda since it stars a transgender activist actor. They called the game a disaster and labelled it as cringe.

This is one of the most baseless and useless criticism anyone has ever provided for a video game. This also reflects on the homophobic nature of the critique who is not willing to look beyond their own insecurities. This is truly a shame that in 2024 we are still ashamed of confronting the reality of LGBTQ.

The game was not criticized on what the story is shaping up to be, its underlying themes, what the gameplay looks like, or what, according to the leaks, we can anticipate to see. It was rather a shallow perspective on the honest and earnest attempt at inclusivity and acceptance by the developer.

However, this comment was not appreciated by some of the other users and people collectively bashed it.

It is indeed true that the game is shaping to be quite horrific for the above mentioned user who seems to have some big problems.

Hideo Kojima Ventures Into The Lanes of Horror

OD is going to be the first Horror game by veteran Hideo Kojima. There has been no official announcement regarding a release date by either Xbox or Kojima Productions yet.

However, the game is anticipated to be released before 2026 after the release of Death Stranding 2. We have only seen a reveal trailer of the game and it looks like something that has never been seen before. It is a game but also a movie and much more.

The game pushes the boundaries of the audio-visual medium in ways unimaginable a few years before. It is truly going to be an amazing journey Kojima will be taking us on with his new horror game. There have been some doubts about the game but it is too soon to judge the game and have preconceived notions about it when the release date has not even been announced yet.
