Honkai Star Rail Version 4.2 Patch Notes: New Warp Banners, Events, and Anniversary Rewards

Honkai Star Rail Version 4.2 is finally here, and we’ve gotten one of the biggest updates of 2026 already. This update brings the next chapter for the ongoing Planarcadia storyline, with the story focusing on the Phantasmoon Games. In terms of characters, we’re finally getting the long-awaited Path of Elation for the Trailblazer, alongside two brand-new 5-star characters, Silver Wolf LV.999 and Evanescia.

In Version 4.2, Honkai Star Rail is also celebrating its third anniversary, and HoYoverse is celebrating in a big way. Even from today, we can get several rewards, including free pulls, Stellar Jades, and new anniversary events.

Near the spire’s peak, approaching the Phantasmoon, the Fool weaves the hearts of men into a marionette theater within her palms. In this moment, people are bestowed the freedom of Elation. In this moment, people are shackled by the chains of happiness…

Requirement: Complete the Trailblaze Mission “Planarcadia – Unraveled for Daybreak”

“Planarcadia” Trailblaze Missions can be experienced in advance through the “Finality’s Vision: Leap of Trailblaze” function.

2. New Characters

5-Star Silver Wolf LV.999 (Elation: Imaginary)

Silver Wolf LV.999 is a damage-dealing character who can transform into “Godmode Player” to use powerful abilities. During “Godmode Player”, a Zone is created. Allies can consume Skill Points to trigger a Special Attack within the Zone, providing various Support effects. During exploration, Silver Wolf LV.999 can use her Technique to summon an attendant that automatically searches for and eliminates enemy targets.

5-Star Evanescia (Elation: Physical)

Evanescia is a damage-dealing character who can rapidly accumulate “Certified Banger”. Energy and “Certified Banger” share a two-way synergy. She has multiple ways to gain “Certified Banger” from teammates, allowing her to cycle her Ultimate faster and deal higher DMG.

5-Star Trailblazer (Elation: Lightning)

Trailblazer (Elation: Lightning) is a Support character capable of making teammates immediately use their Elation Skill. Trailblazer (Elation: Lightning) can generate Punchline and “Certified Banger” through various means, and can provide additional “Certified Banger” to allies with Elation Skills. After using their Technique and entering combat, Trailblazer (Elation: Lightning) can also increase the Elation of all allies.

3. New Light Cones

5-Star Welcome to the Cosmic City (Elation)

Obtainable through the “Brilliant Fixation: Welcome to the Cosmic City” Light Cone Event Warp.

5-Star Until the Flowers Bloom Again (Elation)

Obtainable through the “Brilliant Fixation: Until the Flowers Bloom Again” Light Cone Event Warp.

4-Star Tomorrow, Together (Elation)

Obtainable from the Cosmic Data Roaming event.

4. New Outfits

Outfit “Gossamer Flutter”

Outfit for Castorice (Remembrance: Quantum).

After Version 4.2 update, the Gossamer Flutter outfit will be available in the Outfit Show Window and temporarily sold at 1,350 Oneiric Shards. After the discount period ends, this outfit will revert to the original price of 1,680 Oneiric Shards.

Trailblaze Fashion – Headwear “Cool Overload Shades”

Can be obtained by purchasing the “Cosmic Speedrun” Bundle Giftbox, or purchased separately in the store using Oneiric Shards.

Can be purchased in the store using Stellar Jades.

Trailblaze Fashion – Headwear “Universal Popularity Crown: Neon Cat-ear Headphones”

5. New Areas

Seafeld City

Seafeld City is a tourist hub on Planarcadia’s coastline. The city is known for three things: it is home to the Seafeld TV Tower, it boasts the most stunning oceanfront views in Planarcadia, and more than 40% of its residents are ploos.

After the event begins, Trailblazers can invite a familiar companion to send you special anniversary blessings. On Honkai Star Rail‘s three-year anniversary (2026/04/26 12:00 (UTC+8)), Trailblazers will receive a letter from their chosen companion along with gifts of Stellar Jade ×1,600 and Fuel ×10.

During the event period, accumulate Oneiric Shards and unlock rewards at corresponding ranks.

Oneiric Shards obtained through direct purchase, gift packs, purchasing “Express Supply Pass,” or refunds from duplicate gift pack purchases in special circumstances will all count towards event progress. When Trailblazers directly purchase Oneiric Shards, both the first-purchase double bonus and additional bonus will count towards event progress.

“Novaflare” Character Trial Event

During the event, participate in the “Novaflare” character trial event. Enter Challenge Stages with a Team Lineup that includes designated trial characters, and receive Stellar Jade rewards upon successful completion.

Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game Season Expansion Details

New employees have joined, the Ascension Level Cap and Rewards have been expanded, the Trailblazer unlocks the Path of Elation, and the new Elation school Bond has been added, along with a massive amount of new content including Investment Environments, Investment Strategies, opponent factions, and more! “Express Renovation Escapade”

The Express has been renovated. The Trailblazer’s room now features a display area and a gaming area, where you can display various souvenirs from your journey and enjoy multiplayer gameplay. A Co-Op Party Car has also been added. Go visit your Friends and find the creations hiding in the Car!

Gameplay

Anomaly Arbitration’s high-difficulty game mode will be updated with the coming version, and players can play it to earn rewards including Lone Stardust, Interference Keys, Self-Modeling Resin, and limited-time avatar frames.

When an enemy target with “Steadfast Safeguard” is Weakness Broken, dispel control debuffs for all ally targets and activate their Ultimates.

Increases Elation DMG taken by all enemy targets by 25% and increases Weakness Break DMG by 15%.

Pure Fiction: Illusory Concepts

Each time Punchline is gained, allies will additionally accumulate 2 Grit Value.

Memory of Chaos: Duty Action

2026/05/25 04:00 – 2026/07/06 03:59 (server time)

Increases the CRIT DMG dealt by ally targets when they use their Ultimate by 50%. After using their Ultimate, adds 2 Hits Per Action to “Memory Turbulence,” up to a maximum of 20 hits.

At the start of each Cycle, “Memory Turbulence” deals 1 instance of True DMG to a random enemy target with each Hit Per Action.

“Bud of Nihility: ‘Radiant Scarwood’ Grove of Epiphany”

System

Adds a monthly Self-Modeling Resin synthesis reminder.

Adds a feature to save preset Relic sets in the Relic system.

“Celestial Invitation” character expansion: Limited 5-star characters Yunli (Destruction: Physical), Argenti (Erudition: Physical), and Silver Wolf (Nihility: Quantum) have been added to the customizable Non-Featured character list for the Character Event Warp. Trailblazers can select a total of 7 characters from the 13 5-star characters in “Celestial Invitation” to add to this list.

• The “Celestial Invitation” character roster for the “Character Collaboration Warp” will also be expanded simultaneously.

Pets can be previewed.

Added new Pet “Furbobo Press Corps,” which can be obtained through the “Cherished Recollection” event.

Added the limited-time pack “Value Special Pass” and the Bundle Giftbox “Cosmic Speedrun”. The Bundle Giftbox contains the Trailblaze Fashion headwear “Cool Overload Shades” and the dynamic namecard “Arcadia Rush”.

The limited 5-star characters Robin (Harmony: Physical) and Huohuo (Abundance: Wind), as well as the limited 5-star Light Cones Dance at Sunset (Destruction), Flowing Nightglow (Harmony), An Instant Before A Gaze (Erudition), Night of Fright (Abundance), and Incessant Rain (Nihility), have been added to the “Stellar Convergence” Store and are available for exchange.

New redeemable items have been added to the “Gift of Stardust” store: the conductor’s Outfit “Golden Dream! Formalwear Set”, Trailblaze Fashion “Furbobo Goggles”, Trailblaze Fashion “Universal Popularity Crown: Neon Cat-ear Headphones,” and the Avatars “Daily Emoti” and “Reporting for you”. Trailblazers can use “Lone Stardust” to exchange for rewards in the store.

Added the conductor’s Outfit “Age of Trailblaze! Formalwear Set,” which can be obtained by experiencing “Pom-Pom’s Assist (Beta).” After the Version 4.3 update, the conductor’s Outfit “Age of Trailblaze! Formalwear Set” will be added to “Herta’s Store”.

Adds a new story cutscene setting. Trailblazers can select whether to display Trailblaze Fashion during the cutscenes.

Adds the feature to Auto-Use Consumables to restore Technique Points in the “Quick Recovery” and Settings interfaces. Once enabled, Technique Point-restoring Consumables will be automatically used when you have insufficient Technique Points.

Adds new content such as Furbobocom, readable items, Messages, discs, Achievements, data bank entries, and loading screen texts. They will be gradually unlocked during your Trailblaze Progress.

Combat

Adjusts how certain characters select targets and use abilities during auto-battle under specific conditions.

Events

“Starlit Homecoming” Returner Event has been updated with “Character Support” added to help with the returner combat experience. For more details, please refer to the official notice “Starlit Homecoming Event Update Details V4.2.”

Gameplay

Starting from Version 4.2, Currency Wars Points and Simulated Universe Points will be merged, and some point threshold rewards will be adjusted. The first period of the new Accumulated Points will last for 5 days, and will restore its weekly rotation on the following Monday. For more details, please refer to the official notice “Currency Wars & Simulated Universe | Accumulated Points Consolidation Details.”

Adjusts some character stats for the trial character Castorice (Remembrance: Quantum) in the “Divergent Universe: Arcadian Chronicles” gameplay.

System

Adjusts and optimizes the layout of the Trailblazer Profile. After the adjustment, the Profile will feature the Trailblazer’s room as the background.

Adjusts the unlock criteria for Trailblazer Profile to: Complete the Trailblaze Mission “The Blue — A Moment of Peace.”

Optimizes the experience when using the Build Target feature in the Interastral Peace Guide – Survival Index.

Optimizes the entrance style of “More Relics” and related hints for the Relic selection feature when using “Smart Equip”.

Adds English voice-over resources for the character “Ashveil” in Trailblaze Missions of Version 4.1.

Adjusts the button mapping for the “Summon/Recall” button on the “Inventory” – “Pet” screen when playing the game with a controller. You can view the corresponding hints in-game.

As Version 4.2 will end at 2026/06/01 06:00 (UTC+8), the closing times for certain missions in this period’s Nameless Honor have been adjusted. Please refer to the in-game display for the exact times.
