Payne's passing occurred in Buenos Aires, where he reportedly fell from his hotel room at the Casa Sur Palmero around 17:00 on Wednesday. Eyewitnesses confirmed they saw the English singer fall, leading local police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As one of the original members of One Direction, Payne shot to fame alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson. He had traveled to Argentina earlier this month, apparently to attend a concert by his former bandmate, Horan.

Staff called for immediate assistance

Local authorities revealed that they responded to reports about a guest behaving erratically at the hotel. According to eyewitness accounts, Payne seemed to be under the influence of substances, with hotel staff calling for immediate assistance.

Police arrived shortly after a loud sound was heard in the courtyard, where they discovered Liam's body. The BBC reported that the police were responding to a call from a worker who described an "aggressive man," with audio recordings revealing that the staff urgently requested help, saying, "He's conscious but is destroying everything; we need someone to come quickly."

According to a report by TMZ, earlier that day, Liam had been seen acting erratically in the hotel lobby, smashing his laptop and eventually needing assistance to return to his room. Tragically, these troubling events were followed by his fatal fall.

Liam's body was transferred to a local morgue for a post-mortem examination. Unconfirmed photos have since circulated online, claiming to show his hotel room in disarray, including a broken television.
