LOTR Stars Reunite in The Gentlemen Season 3 as It Starts Filming
Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom in The Lord of the Rings | Credits: New Line CinemaElijah Wood and Orlando Bloom were part of the Fellowship of the Ring in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy masterpiece was his magnum opus, blending incredible practical effects with groundbreaking CGI. It won several Oscars throughout its three-movie run and spawned a multi-film franchise.
Wood played the lead, Frodo Baggins, the hobbit who is tasked with traveling to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring. Orlando Bloom plays Legolas, the elf, who joins him along with Aragorn, Merry, Pippin, and Gimli. The two actors are now reuniting after the final film in the trilogy, The Return of the King.
Both arrive with fresh television credits. Wood is known for Yellowjackets and Ready or Not: Here I Come, and he is also set to return as Frodo in the upcoming film The Hunt for Gollum. Bloom comes from the series The Cut. Seeing two beloved fantasy heroes swap Middle-earth for a world of casinos, cartels, and tailored suits should be a treat for fans.
Season 3 follows a quick renewal. Netflix ordered it in August, before Season 2 had even premiered on September 3. The second season crossed a significant viewership milestone with Netflix. While a release date is yet to be revealed, the show might reach earlier than its previous season with the way filming is progressing.

Meghan Markle was previously linked to a role, but reports say she has since been dropped from consideration, and she is not among the confirmed cast.
