Gothic 1 Remake Bullit Location Explained

Bullit is one of those NPCs that Gothic 1 Remake loves throwing at you early on. He’s loud, mean, and annoyingly important to a couple of quests.

In the game, he splits his time between drinking inside the Old Camp’s inner castle and stumbling around drunk outside the North Gate at night. Where you’ll find him depends not only on the questline, but also on how patient you are.

Where to Find Bullit in Gothic 1 Remake

Finding Bullit isn’t nearly as difficult as finding Caine. Most of the time, he’s inside the Old Camp’s inner castle, one of the game’s three Camps. Bullit usually hangs around the tavern with the other guards.

Once you’ve gained access to the castle, head in through the main gate. The tavern is just inside the castle on the left side of the entrance, across from Gomez’s building. During the day and early evening, Bullit is often sitting or standing there with a mug in hand.

However, if you’re working on the “Bully for Bullit” quest from Syra, his nighttime routine is what really matters. Around late evening to after midnight, Bullit leaves the barracks. He meanders a bit before setting off.

• Bullit walks out through the North Gate.

• From there, he heads to the river on the right side of the bridge outside the Old Camp.

• You’ll find him standing in the water, drunk and holding liquor, roughly 30 meters down the riverbank on the right-hand side.

This river spot is the ideal place to confront him for the “Bully for Bullit” questline. Or, if you have a personal grudge, it’s also the best place to settle it, since no other guards are around to interfere.

Bullit in Quests and Why He Matters

Bullit isn’t just a background NPC. He’s the target of at least one key early quest and becomes a very satisfying punching bag once you’ve had enough of his bullying. The main quest tied to him is “Bully for Bullit.”

Syra, the cook inside the castle, gives you this quest. She complains that Bullit harasses her and asks you to “take care of him,” though not necessarily by killing him. From there, you have two main options:

• Confront Bullit in the Tavern: You can confront Bullit inside the castle tavern, but if you start a fight there, the other guards will step in to defend him. This is the harder approach and usually isn’t worth the trouble early on.

• Catch him drunk by the river: After midnight, leave the castle and head out through the North Gate. Stay on the right-hand riverbank instead of crossing the bridge. Once you find Bullit, you can knock him out and loot his body for a Battlesword and some Ore Nuggets.

Afterward, return to Syra in the castle and tell her Bullit won’t be bothering her anymore. You’ll receive XP, and depending on your broader quest progression, this may also help unlock her cooperation.
