Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will be released on April 8, 2027, bringing the Remake trilogy to its conclusion. The game follows Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as the third and final entry in Square Enix’s remake project.
One of the biggest changes in Revelation is the scale of its world. Players will be able to pilot the Highwind and freely travel across a vast, interconnected planet before parachuting down wherever they want to explore. Previously visited areas will also return as fast-travel destinations, allowing players to revisit locations from Remake and Rebirth.

New areas include Wutai and Mideel, while returning locations such as Gongaga will feature additional encounters and activities. The Highwind itself can also be customized as players progress.
Combat continues the hybrid real-time and command-based system established by the previous games. Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind finally become playable members of the main party, completing the game’s core roster.
The new FITS (Function-Integrated Tactical Suitwear) system adds another layer of customization. Different outfits provide unique movesets and specialize characters for different combat roles, including Warrior, Knight, Black Mage, and Summoner.
Chocobos can also participate directly in combat, with mounted abilities becoming stronger throughout the adventure. Players can dismount whenever they want and continue fighting on foot.
Other returning features include Queen’s Blood, which receives a new storyline centered on Red XIII, while character selection can influence certain quests and interactions throughout the world.
