The Elden Ring Movie is real, and it comes out on March 3, 2028, according to the official announcement on April 20, 2026. Furthermore, Alex Garland, the filmmaker behind movies like Ex Machina and Civil War, will be both writing and directing the project. According to The New Yorker, he also reportedly pitched the very idea of the movie himself to Bandai Namco with a 160-page draft after first bringing it up with A24’s head of film, Noah Sacco.
