Sacrifice follows Mike Tyler, a Hollywood action star going through a struggling period and a subsequent existential crisis. In order to revive his fading career, Tyler attends a lavish charity gala hosted by a billionaire named Ben Bracken and his wife, Gloria.

However, chaos ensues when a radical cult leader, Joan, marches into the gala with her followers and takes the guests hostage. They believe that the world could end in three days unless three people are sacrificed to a nearby volcano. Tyler, who finds himself in the middle of this chaos, must confront his own ego and the superficial world of celebrity culture in order to survive.

The movie blends dark comedy and suspense with a satirical take on performative activism, wealth, and humanity’s response to the climate crisis.

Chris Evans stars as Mike Tyler, with Anya Taylor-Joy taking on Joan. Vincent Cassel plays Ben Bracken, and Salma Hayek-Pinault plays his wife. Sacrifice also features John Malkovich as Gunnar, Ambika Mod as Daughter Nature, Chrli XCX as Mother Nature, Sam Richardson as Oliver, Bebe Massey as Young Joan, and “Yung Lean” Leandoer as Arthur, Jade Croot as Louise, and Miriam Silverman as Anna.

Sacrifice will be released on Netflix on October 16, 2026.
