Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Officially Adds Never Seen Before New Goku Fight

In the world of Dragon Ball, Goku has fought some of the strongest villains in the universe. Now, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is giving fans another reason to watch these classic battles. The enhanced anime premieres on October 11, 2026, with new scenes, improved animation, and changes to the original series.

One of the biggest additions is a new look at Goku’s past fights against Frieza and Perfect Cell. These scenes bring moments from the Dragon Ball Super manga to life, making the upcoming premiere even more exciting for longtime fans.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Animates Goku’s Skipped Manga Panels

The early screening of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1 took place on October 8, 2026, at New York Comic Con, where around 3,000 fans gathered for the world premiere. Footage details and reactions from the screening have since sparked excitement ahead of the anime’s official Japanese premiere on October 11 (via the official website).

Now, one of the most exciting changes in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is the addition of newly animated shadowboxing fights featuring Goku against Frieza and Perfect Cell (via DBS Exclusive on YouTube). These scenes are based on the opening panels of the Dragon Ball Super manga, which the original 2015 anime did not adapt in the same way.

The manga scene starts when Goten brings his father lunch and takes over driving the tractor. While his son handles the farming work, Goku turns Super Saiyan and begins shadowboxing, imagining himself fighting Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. The scene shows Goku mentally training himself by reliving fights against three of his most dangerous enemies.

The original 2015 anime did not bring this manga opening to life in the same way. Both villains played important roles in Goku’s journey, so seeing them return in new animated scenes is a welcome addition. It also brings the anime closer to the manga’s opening, giving viewers a better look at the events that shaped Goku into the fighter he is today.

Another reported surprise is the appearance of base-form Vegito. The fusion of Goku and Vegeta first appeared during the Majin Buu Saga in Dragon Ball Z. And seeing it in the updated art style is certainly going to be an exciting bonus for fans.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus premieres in Japan on Sunday, October 11, 2026. This time, Toei Animation is giving the original series a major visual upgrade instead of simply bringing it back with a few small changes.

The early episodes of Dragon Ball Super received criticism for their inconsistent animation. The enhanced version aims to improve these parts with redrawn scenes, updated character designs, and smoother animation. These changes could make a big difference, especially for fans who wanted the original series to look better from the beginning.

Footage from the New York Comic Con early screening has also drawn attention to the new visual style. According to reports from attendees, the animation looks closer to Dragon Ball Daima, with cleaner drawings and more fluid movements.

Meanwhile, international fans will also have several ways to watch the premiere. Crunchyroll is scheduled to stream the series on October 11, while Netflix will add it on October 17 in the United States. With new Goku fights, a reported Vegito cameo, and improved animation, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has more to offer than a simple retelling of the original anime.
