Chris Pratt Officially Clashes With Alan Ritchson’s Reacher for #1 Prime Video Thriller Spot

Although Alan Ritchson’s Reacher had an era of fame and recognition, it seems that Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List is now clashing with the thriller series for the #1 Prime Video thriller spot.

Reacher found worldwide fame and success with the four seasons that the show has released so far. Alongside the core storyline, the Prime Video show has also released a spin-off titled Neagley. Well, the same format is being followed by Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List.

Naturally, it seems that the two Prime Video shows are now competing for the #1 spot on the streaming giant, and The Terminal List might just be winning if Reacher can’t keep up.

Starting off back in February of 2022, Alan Ritchson’s Reacher released 8 episodes during Season One. In 2023-2024, the series continued with its second season, and likewise with Season 3, released in 2025.

The fourth Season was released on August 12, 2026, with Reacher Season 5 and even Season 6 already greenlit. Although the series has been releasing seasons in a steady year-by-year calendar, it does seem that there has been a significant viewership drop and average reviews across several episodes of Reacher.

On the other hand, Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List has been seeing consistent updates, and despite the second Season releasing after 4 years, fans are genuinely excited for the upcoming release.

There are also rumors that fans might just be a little tired of Alan Ritchson having all the fun as Jack Reacher and would want to see a darker, more diverse storyline with plenty of action scenes. Naturally, Reacher could potentially be in big trouble.

Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List Might Be Prime Video’s New Reacher

The Terminal List might just become Prime Video’s new Reacher. The series, based on Jack Carr’s novels, features Pratt as Navy SEAL James Reece, who hunts the conspirators behind his squad’s destruction. Sharing themes with Reacher, The Terminal List follows a cohesive storyline across the seasons, instead of adapting a new book with every season.

It offers straightforward brutal action, a stoic lead, and a conspiracy that unfolds in digestible chinks. Pratt’s lead role gives it star power, while Dark Wolf shows Amazon is building a universe around it.

Although it lacks a little bit of Reacher‘s humor, the formula of muscle, mystery, and momentum is clearly working in favor of the show. With Season 2 on the horizon, what remains to be seen is whether The Terminal List Season 2 finds as much success as Reacher Season 4.
