DC Comics is finally bringing the major crossover fans have been waiting for. The Absolute Universe heroes are coming together in Absolute Justice, a five-issue miniseries, which is set to launch in 2027. It is written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra. The announcement marks DC’s biggest Justice League release since Zack Snyder’s Justice League arrived in 2021.
Since launching in 2024, DC Comics’ Absolute line has explored iconic characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman through reimagination. However, these heroes have largely operated individually throughout the previous issues. Although their stories have occasionally crossed paths, the Absolute Universe heroes will come together for the very first time with Absolute Justice.
Why Absolute Justice Is a Major Milestone for DC Comics
Absolute Batman 25 | Credit:- DC ComicsIt’s a no-brainer that Absolute Justice marks a major milestone for DC Comics and its fans, as it is the biggest Justice League-related release in the last five years. At the same time, it will also bring the major Absolute Universe heroes together for the first time for a new battle.
That said, unlike the traditional Justice League, in this universe, the heroes are stuck in a world shaped by Darkseid’s influence. Hence, from Batman to Wonder Woman, they have very different origin stories, challenges, and circumstances. Absolute Justice will explore a reimagined universe as these versions of DC characters are forced to team up. At the New York Comic-Con Panel, DC announced (via The Comics Beat) that Absolute Martian Manhunter will play a key role in bringing the heroes together in Absolute Justice.
When Is Absolute Justice Releasing?

The story will bring together the Absolute versions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Jo Mullein, Flash, and Martian Manhunter. However, Zack Snyder confirmed at the panel that it won’t alter the events in the solo books, meaning readers will not need to go through every individual Absolute series to understand Absolute Justice.
That said, the story is not just about bringing the heroes together for the first time. Absolute Justice will force these alternate versions of the DC characters to understand something deeper: that the overwhelming odds and powerful villains they individually face in this universe push them to work together and fight harder.
