Disney+‘s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 8 is walking into its finale with Matt Murdock wounded, Karen Page cornered, Wilson Fisk losing control, and Daniel Blake dead after choosing BB Urich over Buck Cashman. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 7 did not waste time polishing anyone’s halo.

Karen was arrested, Fisk tried to frighten her inside official custody, Heather Glenn slipped deeper into dangerous territory, Bullseye protected Governor McCaffrey in a rare attempt at doing ‘one good deed’ and Brett Mahoney’s return gave Matt a thin legal path back into the fight. 

By the end, Buck Cashman killed Daniel Blake for refusing to betray BB Urich, which leaves Wilson Fisk’s inner circle looking more fractured than loyal.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 8 will arrive on Disney+ from 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on May 5, 2026. Because the Disney+ rollout follows time zones, viewers in the United States and parts of the Americas will get the finale on May 5, while audiences in the UK, India, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand will see it on May 6.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 8 has to deal with the mess left by Episode 7, and that mess is not small. Karen’s arrest has pushed the fight against Fisk into court, which gives Matt a chance to return as an “avocado at law.” That joke carries old charm, but the situation around it is deadly serious. Fisk wants Karen publicly humiliated, and Matt (Charlie Cox) wants to use the trial to expose the Anti-Vigilante Task Force as a political weapon rather than a lawful crime-fighting unit.

Karen is not hiding, and she is not behaving like someone who expects mercy from Fisk. Her conversation with Matt through Brett Mahoney’s help made it clear that she understands the danger better than almost anyone. Fisk is angrier because he is weaker, and angry power is often more reckless than confident power. If Episode 8 is smart, Karen’s trial will become more than a legal proceeding. It should become a public test of whether New York still believes Fisk’s version of order.

Matt also enters the finale injured after the AVTF attack in the parking lot. That attack matters because it shows Fisk’s people are no longer bothering with clean optics. The mayor’s armed force opened fire on Matt, Kirsten, Cherry, and police officers. If this becomes public, it could damage Fisk more than any speech from Matt. Episode 8 should use that mistake.

Jessica Jones may not stay in the fight full-time because Danielle needs her, but her role still feels important. She brought Matt crucial information from Charles, and Charles has his own reason to remove Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) after the Garnet Street weapons disaster. With Governor McCaffrey moving to suspend Red Hook Port’s freeport status, Fisk’s political machinery is in real danger. If McCaffrey survives and acts quickly, Fisk could lose the legal shelter that has allowed him to turn the city into his personal chessboard.

Poindexter is another wild card. Matt gave him a chance to protect McCaffrey and perform one good deed, but he also made it clear that saving one person will not erase Foggy, Father Lantom, or the many lives Bullseye has destroyed. Episode 8 should not hand him instant redemption. Heather Glenn is also becoming a serious threat. Fisk letting her keep Vanessa’s other earring felt less like forgiveness and more like grooming. After Heather physically intimidates Karen, the finale may push her closer to a darker identity.

The danger is that Fisk has noticed how useful her collapse could become. Then there is BB Urich. Blake died because he finally refused to hand her over, and that sacrifice should not be wasted. BB has the public platform, the family history, and the evidence trail to hurt Fisk where he is most vulnerable. Ben Urich’s niece using modern media against Fisk has a satisfying legacy bite. Episode 8 should let BB publish, leak, stream, or expose something that makes Blake’s final choice matter.

Buck’s killing of Blake also sets up a nasty question. Is Buck simply Fisk’s obedient weapon, or did Blake’s last stand crack something inside him? Episode 7 suggested Buck may have had some affection for Blake, but affection did not stop him from pulling the trigger. If Fisk begins falling, Buck could become desperate, disposable, or dangerously ambitious. Any of those options can feed Season 3.
