In the last episode, when the surgeon told Fisk he was hopeful, Fisk (Men in Black’s Vincent D’Onofrio) replied that hope was not an option. When Vanessa appears to pass, Fisk remains by her bedside, grieving. The doctor walks in, waxing poetic about how Vanessa is on her way to the great dark void, and places a hand on Fisk’s shoulder.
The Mayor stands. The doctor opens his arms, inviting a hug. That’s a fatal mistake. Kingpin responds with a deadly bear hug, snapping the man’s spine. The doctor, one of the best in his field, collapses to the hard floor, blood spilling from his mouth and eyes. Fisk steps over him and leaves the room, Vanessa still lying in bed. Buck enters moments later, closing the door.
We can assume he’s there to dispose of the surgeon’s body. Speaking of Buck, the buddy duo of Buck and Daniel (Michael Gandolfini) is starting to grow on me. At the funeral, BB shows up, and Buck pulls Daniel aside. He tells Daniel to feed her false information to see if she leaks or publishes it. That way, Daniel can determine whether he can truly trust her.
Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 6: Who is Jessica Jones?
Krysten Ritter in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 6 (2025) | Image via Disney+Jessica Jones (Breaking Bad’s Krysten Ritter) is an ally of Murdock (Merv’s Charlie Cox) in the resistance, with superhuman strength and limited flight. Jones runs her own detective agency but suffers from post-traumatic stress, which is why she left the game for a while. She is now back in after Matt reached out to her, and the AVTF attempted to raid her home.
Jessica and Matt meet up. She tells Matt that Fisk is working with government agencies, including a Central Intelligence Agency official named Charles (Five Nights at Freddy’s Matthew Lillard). Of course, they meet at the warehouse where Fisk stole military-grade weapons. They raid the facility, blowing up the building and equipment.
Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) is struggling with Matt’s insistence on keeping Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) alive. Angela’s aunt, a nurse, patches him up. When Matt leaves, Karen pulls a gun on Dex, who begs her to end his life. She holds the gun on him, but fails to pull the trigger before Matt stops her. Karen yells at him, saying he cares more about villains than the people who love him.
Daniel tells BB that the Mayor will not be running for reelection to see if she is the leak. After attending Daniel’s birthday party at his home with his mom, she looks in his room and sees a photo of him as a boy with his father. She deletes a text she was about to send. However, Daniel finds the SD card that was in her pocket.
Disney+’s Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained: Who Wins the Fight Between Matt and Fisk?
Charlie Cox in Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2, Episode 6 (2025) | Image via Disney+Daredevil: Born Again, season 2, episode 6, ends with Powell killing the AVTF mole who had used it to incite a riot during the protest. Meanwhile, Matt visits Fisk, asking for both of them to leave the city because the people they love are dying or rotting from the inside. They fight; Matt eventually knocks him down, but Fisk laughs, saying his rival won’t arrest or kill him.
The episode ends with Powell pointing a gun at Karen; we assume that he is going to take her into custody.
A few side notes to follow: Charles sides with the Governor, convincing her to withdraw her support. Also, Marge seems to indicate to Sheila to take over for the Mayor. Dr. Heather Glestill has PTSD from the Muse attack, and Buck allows her to choke him as a survival coping mechanism. Karen also talks about killing Wesley, Fisk’s former right-hand man.
You can watch Daredevil: Born Again season 2 exclusively on Disney+ starting March 24th. A new episode streams weekly until May 12th. All eight episodes were watched for this review.
