Black Clover Chapter 384: Asta & Noelle Reunion Hits the Fandom Like a Truck

Black Clover chapter 384 has just been released, and Yuki Tabata made sure to provide fans with an Asta and Noelle moment. Just as everyone is relieved that the protagonist is still alive despite being dealt massive damage, Noelle tries to first berate him and then ends up complimenting his survival, yet the moment was cut short.

Back when Noelle debuted, she used to be arrogant and vain, especially due to her royal lineage. She has slowly gained confidence in herself as well as others. In chapter 384, Noelle willfully congratulates Asta on his recovery and even compliments him, which is extremely refreshing.

Black Clover Chapter 384 shows Asta returning to the battlefield after being healed by Mimosa from his grievous injuries. Everyone is relieved to have him back, especially Noelle. Although she begins to criticize him for giving everyone such a scare, she quickly stops herself and compliments him for surviving Lucius’ attack.

The moment is short but sweet, as the battle is yet to be over. Noelle immediately transforms into her Valkyrie Armor: Black Dragon Form and faces the minions of Lucius. She urges Asta to go on while she engages with the small fry. This reunion takes place after a long time, especially since the entire kingdom was plunged into one danger after another.

The conversation was cut short because of the ongoing battle, which made many fans displeased. The moment felt too short, and people think that Noelle should have accompanied Asta instead of fighting the small fries. While some argue that there is no time to catch up because of the impending threat, others are of the opinion that the manga has been portraying never-ending dangers for too many chapters, and that doesn’t mean meaningful character interactions should be cut short.

At the same time, while Noelle tried her best to acknowledge his accomplishments, Asta did not even give her a proper reply. He only commented “Yeah” and “Got it,” which feels too little, especially after so long.

In chapter 386, Lucius gets tired of dealing with Asta and Yuno, who are getting stronger and stronger with each moment. Thus, he decides to change his target to the defenseless citizens. The villain summons Gargantuan Ultimate Magic: United Forces, which creates a huge mana blast, leaving Yuno and Asta helpless.

This is the moment that Fuegoleon and Mereoleona step into the battlefield. They warn Asta and Yuno to stay focused on Lucius since they would be able to handle the magic attack. Both enter Spirit Dive mode, but realize that they do not have enough flames. Mereoleona and Fuegoleon collectively shout to summon Leopold, their youngest sibling.

Leopold is immediately grateful for the opportunity since he has always lived in the shadows of his older siblings and has always dreamt of being on equal footing with them. Together, the three of them summon enough flames to overwhelm Lucius’ Ultimate Magic. This is probably one of the most heartfelt moments in chapter 386 because Leopold has finally received recognition from his powerful siblings after hundreds of chapters of trying to match up with them.
