Anime Trios Who Can Beat the Avengers, Ranked Least to Most Probable

The Earth’s Mightiest Heroes might have defeated the Asgardian God of Mischief, but they have never faced the might of anime trios. When three anime characters are put together, their combined IQ might get halved, but their strength increases tenfold. The Avengers might be powerful, but they have plenty of friction inside the six-person OG MCU team.

The very first MCU Avengers team consists of Captain America (Steve Rogers), Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Together, they have glared at death plenty of times. Yet, anime trios are made of completely different material.

Thus, here is a list of anime trios that can give the Avengers a good competition. Some of them might give the heroes a good fight, while others can send them flying till they are a distant star in the sky (Team Rocket style). The trios have been ranked from least to most likely to defeat Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

11 Gintoki, Kagura, Shinpachi (Gintama)

Gintoki, Kagura, and Shinpachi are the ultimate comedy trio. What they lack in superpowers, they can make up for in humor and sarcasm. They might not be able to overpower the Avengers, but they sure as heck can give the heroes a stomachache from laughing too much.

Gintoki is a war veteran and an excellent swordsman. He has the nickname of Shiroyasha or White Demon, as he can turn the tides of any battle because of his strength, durability, and combat intuition. Once he truly goes into Berserk mode, he won’t stop till either his target or he himself is finished.

Kagura belongs to the Yato Tribe, which is why she is physically superior to Gintoki and an expert in combat. Once she slips into her Yato Mode, her untapped potential is highly destructive. Shinpachi might not be as powerful as the other two, but he is the only voice of reason in this anime trio. If Gintoki and Kagura start doing an Avengers parody instead of actually fighting, who else can reason with them if not Shinpachi?

10 Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke (Demon Slayer)

The antics of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke take up most of Demon Slayer. This anime trio thrives on chaos and high-energy fights. Tanjiro’s Hinokami Kagura, Zenitsu’s Thunder Breathing, and Inosuke’s Beast Breathing can create a beautiful synergy. These powers are enough to make high-ranking demons run away with their tails between their legs. Yet, how effective will they be against the Avengers?

Iron Man’s brute weapons will give him an edge since he can fight even from a distance. Hawkeye’s arrows and Thor’s thunder will also be beneficial tools. Hulk’s raging beast form can effectively engage Inosuke and probably even end up defeating him. Cap’s brute strength and intelligence, combined with Natasha’s never-ending tactics, can give them a huge advantage.

They can gang up on the Demon Slayer trio 2:1, which might distract the anime characters and divide their attention, causing them to fail.

9 Deku, Bakugo, Shoto (My Hero Academia)

Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto are probably the one anime trio who would be able to relate to the strength of the Avengers the most. They don’t have Earth-shattering powers or abilities to manipulate reality, but Quirks, which are just like the superpowers that some of the Marvel heroes possess.

Deku has the One For All quirk, which gives him superhuman strength and speed. He can stockpile raw power to enhance his strength and speed. Bakugo’s Explosion quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat, which he can ignite on command. He can create strong explosions, enough to destroy his enemies as well as grant him semi-flight abilities.

Todoroki has the Half-Cold Half-Hot quirk, which lets him generate ice and flames. He can create enormous ice glaciers, a wall of flames, a flashfreeze heatwave, and has many other overpowered abilities. Together, the three are a force to be reckoned with. They can provide the Avengers with a tough battle because their quirks and synergy are far more powerful. Still, it is hard to say who might end up on top.

8 Denji, Power, Aki (Chainsaw Man)

Denji, Power, and Aki are like bickering siblings, despite not being related to each other. Denji has fused with the Chainsaw Devil, which lets him transform into a hybrid. Chainsaws jut out of his body, and it makes him extremely powerful and agile. He can even heal completely from fatal injuries by just consuming blood. Power is the blood fiend and can manipulate the blood in her body to create weapons. She can even generate thousands of swords and spears and throw them at enemies.

Aki has a contract with the Fox Devil, and by summoning it, the Fox Devil’s head can instantly swallow or tear up a target. Together, Denji, Aki, and Power make a fearsome trio. Their supernatural abilities give them an edge that the Avengers lack.

In a battle, Denji and Power would be able to take on most of the combatants, while Aki could anticipate attacks because of his contract with the Future Devil. The power to see the future is a huge advantage. However, their conflicts might work against them as Black Widow simply needs to manipulate the teens into turning against each other.

7 Yuji, Megumi, Nobara (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Yuji is the vessel of Sukuna, the King of Curses, who alone can defeat the Avengers quite easily. However, for the sake of fairness, Sukuna will be taken out of the equation, since it’s about trios, and Sukuna’s presence would add an unfair advantage to the team. Even without him, Yuji is a powerful character with immense physical prowess, stamina, speed, and reflexes.

Megumi is a prodigy when it comes to sorcery and possesses an immense tactical intellect, which proves useful when Yuji and Nobara rely solely on their instincts. He has the Zenin clan’s Ten Shadows Technique, which allows him to summon ten lethal shikigamis. Nobara can use the Straw Doll Technique that lets her share the damage done to a straw doll wth her target. Another signature technique is when she imbues nails with explosive force.

Together, these three are compelling characters, with abilities that can shock the OG Avengers. Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye might be strong, but the jujutsu powers in the Chainsaw Man world are beyond anything they have ever faced. Still, with the absence of Sukuna, the heroes might have a chance against this trio.

6 Frieren, Stark, Fern (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)

Frieren, Stark, and Fern are an unlikely trio. They might adventure together, but Stark and Fern’s powers are nowhere near that of the almost-immortal elf. The titular character’s mana output is unmatched. She can shoot blasts of concentrated mana, enough lightning to amaze Thor, and she can even create a black hole. Frieren took Fern under her wing and taught her the spells that she knows, making her extremely powerful as well. According to Frieren, Fern ends battles way too quickly if left to her desires.

Stark, on the other hand, has superhuman strength, something that both Fern and Frieren lack. He can withstand attacks like a tank and keeps fighting no matter what. Together, this anime trio is an all-rounder when it comes to battles. Frieren can cast powerful spells, Fern can keep everyone on track wth her fast spell casting, and Stark can overwhelm anyone with his strength.

Stark would be an appropriate match against Captain America, though he might not fare too well against Hulk. Frieren and Fern, on the other hand, can take on everyone else simultaneously, and they are intelligent enough to never underestimate Black Widow. Overall, the spellcasters have a better advantage, though the Avengers also have hefty attacks.

5 Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke (Naruto)

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, known as Team 7, are a glorious trio. Naruto grew from an underdog to the most powerful shinobi in history and is the host of Kurama, the nine-tailed beast. Keeping aside his Rasengan, Baryon Mode, and every other overpowered ability, Naruto might be able to single-handedly take care of the Avengers through his Multiple Shadow Clone technique. (Maybe even do some s-xy jutsu to scandalize Cap)

Sasuke is another powerhouse, next only to Naruto, with his Sharingan and Rinnegan, as well as the mighty Susanoo that can easily overpower Hulk’s strength. Sakura is adept at medical jutsu and superhuman strength, making her punches devastating. After the battle is over, Sakura might even volunteer to heal the Avengers, much to their chagrin. Maybe, after everything is said and done, they can grab an Ichiraku Ramen together?

4 Eren, Armin, Mikasa (Attack on Titan)

Eren possesses the powers of the Attack Titan, War Hammer Titan, and the Founding Titan. As a result, he can not only battle by himself but also control nearby Titans to attack a chosen target. After turning into the End Titan, he unleashed all the Wall Titans on the world. Armin, on the other hand, possesses the Colossus Titan. He can unleash a massive explosion while transforming, and towers at 60 meters.

Mikasa, despite not having Titan powers, is an expert at vertical maneuvering equipment and can kill plenty of Titans by herself. She is a talented fighter and strategist with honed instincts, and someone who can direct the raw, destructive powers of Armin and Eren towards the right direction.

The Avengers might have Hulk, but the power of hundreds of Titans can trample the entire Earth, much less a puny group of fighters. Neither Cap nor Iron Man’s strength can help, and Black Widow and Hawkeye would become fodder characters.

3 Luffy, Zoro, Sanji (One Piece)

Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are by far one of the most powerful anime trios. Luffy has the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, which, in its awakened state, can bend reality. Luffy can manipulate his entire surroundings according to his wishes, and his rubbery and stretchy body might look funny, but it packs a huge Gomu Gomu no Punch. Zoro’s Three Sword style is indomitable, and mere arrows and weapons can’t get past his legendary swords.

Sanji, on the other hand, can pack a mean kick. His Black Leg style is extremely powerful and can even send huge monsters flying with a single kick. Not to mention the Haki prowess of Luffy and Zoro. Conqueror’s Haki can instantly render anyone with a weak willpower unconscious, and Observation Haki allows Luffy to see into the brief future and anticipate an attack.

The Avengers would have a tough time keeping this monster trio at bay. The victory definitely belongs to the Straw Hats because the powers of the heroes simply pale in front of the anime characters. The only major disadvantage that the Straw Hat trio has is probably Zoro’s directional blindness. By the time he figures out where the battle is taking place, the fight might be over.

2 Saitama, Genos, King (One Punch Man)

Saitama, Genos, and King are another weird trio in the anime world. Saitama can destroy any enemy with a single punch, Genos is a powerful cyborg, and King is just…a misunderstood hero who gets winded after climbing a single flight of stairs. King’s only powers are his intimidating face and presence, which might give the Avengers the impression that he is the most powerful enemy, giving Saitama the perfect chance to deliver his signature punch.

Let’s be real, the Avengers are nothing in front of Saitama, who can destroy the Earth if he wanted to. Instead, he is more interested in supermarket sales. Probably the only one to take the battle seriously would be Genos, who will definitely exert himself to prevent his master from having to fight.

Nonetheless, Saitama’s presence alone is enough to make sure that the Avengers do not walk out of the fight with intact egos. This baldy might look ridiculous, but underestimating him would cost the Avengers everything.

1 Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo (Dragon Ball)

Dragon Ball’s Goku needs no introduction. The man and the myth himself, any otaku kid can rant about the accomplishments and transformations of Goku. His colorful transformations aren’t just there for the sake of aesthetics because his punches alone can cause near-universal destruction. Name one Avenger who came near to destroying the universe itself, and with a single hit at that.

Of course, one can’t forget Goku’s enemy turned reluctant ally, Vegeta. This Saiyan has more recently activated the Ultra Ego, which draws on the powers of the God of Destruction. Of course, Thor is also a God, but his battle lust is nowhere near that of Vegeta. Next is Piccolo, who has shown tremendous growth since he debuted and has often fought on par with Goku.

The verdict here is clear as day. The Avengers don’t stand a single chance against these galactic-level monsters. Stark’s weapons and Hulk and Cap’s strength are a joke against Goku. Thor’s lightning? Try another target. Black Widow and Hawkeye’s only chance is to stroke Vegeta’s ego in an effort to make him battle Goku instead of them.

Honorary Mention: Team Rocket (Pokémon)

When it comes to anime trios, one can’t help but mention Team Rocket, the most goated of all teams. They might not be powerful enough to defeat the Avengers, but their bond is stronger than any anime trio or Western superhero team. This villainous team loves stealing rare Pokémon. They might be idiots, but they are the beloved idiots of anime fans.

The Avengers can easily beat them and send them flying to the sky in their signature defeat style, but they can’t beat the impact that Team Rocket has on the entire world.
