Wild Ginseng is one of the most important mid-to-late game resources in Crimson Desert. You’ll eventually need it for some important upgrades to make your life easier, but the game doesn’t just give it to you through quests or vendors. You can get some from the initial research at the Scholastone Institute, but that won’t be enough for your needs.
That’s why you’ll want to farm Wild Ginseng in the open world. The catch is that it doesn’t spawn randomly, and without knowing where to look, you can waste a lot of time wandering. Here are the best locations to farm Wild Ginseng efficiently in Crimson Desert as of April 2026.

Argent Peaks (Northeast of Silver Wolf Mountain Pond)
You can find one of the earliest and easiest Wild Ginseng farming spots northeast of the pond near the Silver Wolf Mountains, in the Argent Peaks area.
To reach this location, head to the large stone structure overlooking the region. From there, you can jump off the rock into an enclosed area right under the rock. This is easy to miss, but if you just circle that one big rock, you’ll find it.
Once you’re at the bottom, look carefully for plants emitting a faint red glow. These glowing herbs are Wild Ginseng nodes, and they stand out clearly against the environment once you know what to look for.
There are typically five plants in this location, each yielding at least one Wild Ginseng, with a chance to drop more.
Longroots Cave (Southwest of Silver Wolf Mountain)
You can find another easy farming spot in the Pailune region, specifically near Longroots, southwest of Silver Wolf Mountain.
The fastest way to reach this location is by unlocking the Abyss Nexus fast travel point just west of Longroots. Once you spawn there, turn left and head toward the edge of the cliff. From there, glide downward and watch for a small opening in the rock face. You’ll see the entrance to a cave there.
Inside the cave, you’ll find three Wild Ginseng plants clustered along the left wall, usually arranged close together. It’s not a lot, but you also don’t need a ton. And they respawn anyway.
Farming Tips and How to Use Wild Ginseng
It’s a very important resource to farm. | Image Credit: Pearl AbyssWild Ginseng doesn’t respawn instantly, and fast traveling away won’t reset them. Their respawn time is tied to in-game days, so make sure to come back after a day or two.
Do note that you might miss some of the Ginseng spots due to weather and environmental conditions. And that goes for any Ginseng that you might come across, not just the spots we mentioned.
Grow Wild Ginseng at Your Camp
Farming in the wild is only part of the equation. Once you unlock the farm at the Greymane camp, you can convert Wild Ginseng into seeds and grow it yourself.
At the Greymane Camp garden:
- Extract seeds from Wild Ginseng instead of consuming it
- Plant seeds in your field
- Use fertilizer regularly to increase yield
With proper care, a single seed can produce multiple Ginseng over time, making this method far more efficient in the long run compared to manual gathering.
Crimson Desert features an impressive skill menu that allows players to unlock new abilities:

Where to use Wild Ginseng
Wild Ginseng can be used for different progression systems in Crimson Desert. Its key uses include:
- Upgrading Spirit levels (especially beyond level 8)
- Crafting advanced consumables and alchemy recipes
- Creating powerful items like stamina-restoring dishes
- Supporting long-term resource management
It also provides temporary buffs, such as increased defense and short periods without Spirit cost, making it useful even outside crafting.
