The Elden Ring movie is officially underway. The cast has been announced, and production has already started in England. The hype train is gaining full speed!
While characters and enemy bosses that should make an appearance in the live-action adaptation are on everyone’s mind. We want to focus on the weapons. The Elden Ring is a massive game with a ton of lore and a mammoth arsenal.
We’re sure we won’t see many iconic weapons not featured on this list. However, we believe these 7 iconic weapons must be part of the movie anyway.
1 Dark Moon Greatsword

The weapon was gifted by Ranni the Witch to her consort. Ranni’s storyline should be adapted into the film. The reveal of this legendary weapon is an absolute must-have cinematic moment.
2 Moonveil

Given its sheer popularity among the player base and the gorgeous visuals, it would be a crime not to feature it in the live-action adaptation. The glowing blue energy wave would not only be stunning to look at but would also bring character high-speed duel sequences that we expect to see.
3 Sword of Night and Flame

The visual contrast of sweeping fire and cosmic night magic from a single blade would create dynamic combat choreography on screen. This sword would truly be a spectacle to behold for moviegoers witnessing it for the first time.
4 Bloodhound’s Fang

Its brutal and sweeping curved design, combined with acrobatic weapon skills, makes it incredibly dynamic. Imagine the protagonist or a seasoned mercenary wielding this blade in the film. Pure nostalgia would make several people tear up in theatres.
5 Rivers of Blood

Seeing a skilled warrior or a terrifying invader unsheathe this blade would give the entire audience goosebumps. The blood-flinging Corpse Piler skill in live-action would be an absolute crowd-pleaser.
6 Death’s Poker

Given director Alex Garland’s horror sensibilities, we believe it will appear in the Elden Ring movie. Imagine a terrifying undead creature dragging this frosted yet burning poker across the ground before a fight!
7 Grafted Blade Greatsword

This colossal sword is forged from the assorted blades of an entire defeated clan. With Martin leading the project as a co-producer, it’s not only likely that we will see it, but we demand to see it!
This Iron Throne-inspired sword would be a perfect nod to Martin for his role in the worldbuilding of the game. On top of that, it wouldn’t hurt the movie to have another fan base holler at the screens as soon as this weapon makes an appearance.
Are the most famous weapons in Elden Ring considered Legendary Armaments?
Not necessarily. While the Dark Moon Greatsword, Sword of Night and Flame, and Grafted Blade Greatsword are three of the nine official Legendary Armaments required for the achievement, community favorites like Rivers of Blood, Moonveil, and Bloodhound’s Fang do not carry the official ‘Legendary’ tag despite their overwhelming popularity.
How many Legendary Armaments are in Elden Ring?
There are exactly nine official Legendary Armaments required to unlock the related achievement in the base game of Elden Ring.
Are the weapons from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expected in the movie?
While the film’s plot is currently under wraps, it is highly likely the movie will focus primarily on the events and lore of the base game (the Shattering, the Demigods, and the Lands Between).
