1 A Quiet Place Part II (2021)

Toni Erdmann is a refreshing and unconventional comedy-drama about a father and daughter. Winfried is a quirky music teacher who worries his daughter is growing too distant due to her corporate job. So he tries to reconnect with her, showing up unannounced at her workplace, but not as himself. He uses an alter ego, Toni Erdmann, and dives into her world. 3 The English Patient (1996)

One of the most beautiful romantic war dramas is The English Patient, in which we follow a burned man, known only as the “English Patient,” who recounts his memories to a compassionate nurse. Through flashbacks, we learn about his passionate love, secrets, and the toll of war. For those who’d love to watch an Oscar-winning movie with incredible cinematography and music, there couldn’t be a better choice than The English Patient.

4 The Naked Spur (1953) 

If you’re an old soul who loves classics, The Naked Spur is a must-watch. It chronicles the story of Howard Kemp, a bounty hunter who wants to catch an outlaw and claim the reward to rebuild his life. He teams up with two strangers, and once they catch the man they’re after, the real drama begins! The Naked Spur is often regarded as the finest Western of all time, and there are just endless reasons to stream it this weekend.

5 The Zone of Interest (2024)

Another Sandra Hüller movie on this list is The Zone of Interest, a war drama that takes a very different approach to depicting the horrors of World War II. It doesn’t focus on the battles or victims; instead, a commandant and his wife, who are trying to rebuild their family life right next to a concentration camp. The ones who don’t mind watching something heavy on weekends should definitely tune into The Zone of Interest.
