In the anime world, One Piece is one of those rare series where an entire arc can change how fans see its characters and the world around them. There are many great arcs in Eiichiro Oda‘s long-running pirate adventure, but only a few feel close to perfect.

With that said, these five arcs stand out for their characters, emotions, fights, story payoffs, and lasting impact.

5 Wano Delivered Some of One Piece‘s Biggest Moments

Wano takes the fifth spot because it gave One Piece some of its biggest and most exciting moments. The arc brings Luffy and his allies into a huge battle against Kaido and Big Mom, while also revealing more about Wano’s history, the Kozuki clan, and the mysterious Joy Boy. The story finally reaches a major turning point when Luffy awakens his Devil Fruit in Episode 1071.

Everything comes together when Robin finally says that she wants to live in Episode 278. The Straw Hats then burn the World Government flag, making it clear that they will fight anyone for their friend.
