The 2015 television series starring Rami Malek has become a reality, as the plot of Mr. Robot is being carried out quite visibly in front of the entire world and Elon Musk. Being the richest man on Earth, Musk has had some controversies to his name; however, a group of underground activists is now threatening to release Musk’s personal details soon.
Calling themselves the Capytistas, the group intends to release detailed dossiers this month, and their first target is Elon Musk, alongside his brother Kimbal Musk, and members of Tesla’s board of directors (via WIRED).
The 2015 TV series Mr. Robot had a similar plot when an anarchist hired Rami Malek’s character to wipe out debt by targeting an evil corporation. Although Musk is at the highest risk of getting his personal details exposed, he is not the only one on the target list.
Elon Musk and 150 Other Billionaires Risk Being Hacked

Anonymous members of the Capytistas spoke with WIRED, with the outlet reviewing a document containing 32 residential addresses belonging to Elon Musk and Tesla company executives. The activists have openly acknowledged that their campaign includes doxing, the practice of publicly exposing personal information.
The motto of this group relies on the argument that wealthy individuals and companies benefit from collecting and monetizing personal data, while having a level of privacy that is unavailable to common people. Although threatened with doxing, the group claims that they believe in nonviolence and want to pressure individuals through demonstrations and protests.
Mr. Robot Turns Real As Hacktivists Gain $1.2 Million In Support

In the television series, an anarchist funds the hacktivists to get rid of debt for all the people. Well, something similar has also happened to the Capytistas, in terms of support.
In their talks with WIRED, two members told the outlet that the organization had raised more than $1.2 million from wealthy supporters who allegedly shared the group’s concerns about the concentration of wealth and political influence.
With the mid-term elections having passed recently, things are not looking to be in perfect shape for the world. It isn’t clear whether the Capytistas will go ahead with their doxing plan, and when they do, whether the public will come out to support them or not.
