Insomniac already has plenty of trouble waiting for Logan in Marvel’s Wolverine, from Bolivar Trask and his Reavers to Omega Red and even Sabretooth. But his comic history is packed with villains who could make this version of his story even more interesting.

Some are obvious choices because of their history with Logan, while others could bring something completely different to the game. With the September 15, 2026 release date getting closer, here are 10 villains who deserve a spot in the final adventure.
1 The Hulk
Credits: Marvel StudiosThe Hulk is obviously not a villain in the traditional sense, but he has been one of Logan’s most famous opponents since the hero’s earliest days. Their first encounter in The Incredible Hulk #180 and #181 makes Banner’s alter ego a perfect choice for a surprise boss fight, especially if Insomniac wants to revisit Logan’s roots.
2 Romulus
Credits: Marvel ComicsRomulus is one of the more obscure names here, but he is deeply tied to Logan’s past. He is a mysterious figure who has spent years manipulating his life from the shadows, including his connection to Weapon X and the story of Logan’s son. His complicated history with Logan could make for a great reveal.
3 Daken
Credits: Marvel ComicsDaken, aka Akihiro, is the son of Wolverine and his Japanese wife Itsu, although you would be forgiven for thinking someone forgot to tell him that family reunions are supposed to be pleasant. He inherited his father’s healing factor and claws but grew into a bitter enemy with his own agenda. Bringing him into the game would give Logan a much more personal fight.
4 Juggernaut
Credits: 20th Century Fox/Marvel EntertainmentCain Marko is one of Marvel’s most famous powerhouses, and while he is more closely associated with the X-Men, he has crossed claws with Wolverine plenty of times. His unstoppable momentum, immense strength, and near-indestructibility would give Logan a very different kind of fight from the usual human or cyborg enemies.
5 Cyber
Credits: Marvel ComicsCyber is Silas Burr, a former soldier who became one of Wolverine’s most brutal enemies after having adamantium bonded to his skin. That makes him one of the few opponents who can take Logan’s claws head-on. He also has a history with Daken and Romulus, making him a particularly good fit for this story.
6 Silver Samurai
Credits: 20th Century Fox/Marvel EntertainmentKenuichio Harada, the Silver Samurai, is one of Wolverine’s most famous Japanese enemies, with decades of history between the two characters. Fans may also remember him from The Wolverine (2013), where (spoiler alert?) Hugh Jackman’s Logan fought the armored warrior in the movie’s finale. Insomniac’s Japan setting makes him an especially obvious choice.
7 Wendigo
Credits: Marvel ComicsThe Wendigo is a supernatural creature that has crossed paths with Wolverine since his earliest Marvel appearances, including the same story that introduced Logan to readers: The Incredible Hulk #180. Unlike the soldiers and assassins he usually faces, this giant beast could force him into a straight-up monster fight in the Canadian wilderness sequence of the story.
8 Deathlok
Credits: Marvel ComicsDeathlok is a cybernetic soldier from the future who has crossed paths with Logan several times, most notably in the Wolverine: Weapon X storyline. He brings something different to Logan’s rogues gallery, combining heavy weaponry with futuristic technology. Considering the machinery already surrounding his world, he would not feel out of place in the upcoming game.
9 Donald Pierce
Credits: Marvel ComicsDonald Pierce is the wealthy mutant-hater who transformed himself into a cyborg and became the leader of the Reavers, the group of cybernetic killers hunting Wolverine. Since the Reavers are already part of Insomniac’s story, bringing in the man behind them could give Logan someone to directly blame for the whole mess.
10 Viper
Credits: 20th Century Fox/Marvel EntertainmentViper is a dangerous criminal, scientist, and longtime Marvel villain who has crossed paths with Wolverine in several different ways. She is also familiar to movie fans thanks to Svetlana Khodchenkova’s portrayal of the character in the 2013 film. With Logan heading to Madripoor, her connections to that world make her another fitting addition to the game.
