Zoë Kravitz’s Dating History: The Complete Timeline of Her Love Life

Zoë Kravitz is at the center of an engagement rumor after sporting a massive sparkler on her ring finger during her recent outing with Harry Styles. If the rumors turn out to be true, it will be the third time that she has said yes to a partner.

Kravitz has a reputation for keeping her relationship status under the radar. She was earlier married to actor Karl Glusman, but she didn’t reveal her engagement until six months later. She was also engaged to actor Channing Tatum after that. Interestingly, these three aren’t the only high-profile relationships of the actress that we know about.

Here’s a timeline of all her relationships that we know of, starting from Hell or High Water star Ben Foster.

Ben Foster (2007-2009)

Ben Foster and Zoë Kravitz were very public with their relationship, even though a few people were uncomfortable with the age gap between them. When they were dating, Foster was 27, and Kravitz was just 19. They were seen together on several occasions, including A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi in February 2007. The relationship fizzled out by 2009.

Ezra Miller (2010-2011)

Kravitz was once linked to the troublesome Ezra Miller, although the couple never confirmed a relationship. Kravitz admitted to a close friendship between them after they met on the set of 2010’s Beware the Gonzo. She shared with Collider:

Ezra had the part and we met, before I was actually hired, just to get ready for a chemistry read, and there was chemistry. We became best friends immediately, and still are.

Miller was 17 and Kravitz was 22 when they first met. They were spotted at several parties at the time. Miller and Kravitz reunited in 2018 for the movie, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Chris Pine (2010, 2013-2014)

Chris Pine and Zoë Kravitz were first photographed together at the Met Gala After Party in New York City in 2010. This one-night date didn’t amount to anything. A few years later, they were seen attending many events together.

In 2014, they appeared together at a Coldplay concert in September. They were also seen partying together at the Tao Nightclub when they attended the Sundance Film Festival.

They never admitted to a romantic relationship and remained best friends. He attended her rehearsal dinner before her wedding to Karl Glusman.

Penn Badgley (2011-2013)

After breaking up with his Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively, Penn Badgley began dating Zoë Kravitz in 2011. They were spotted together in New York multiple times, where Badgley was filming the CW show. During an interview with Movieline, he addressed his relationship with Kravitz, sharing (via Yahoo):

Being in love, real, true, earth-shattering love – even though it sounds hyperbolic I really was going through it — helped me be as good as I could be.

They went their separate ways in 2013. The real reason behind their split remains unknown.

Drake (2013)

Drake and Kravitz were spotted kissing on the dance floor of a Beyoncé concert in 2013. They posted their pictures on Instagram. But neither of them admitted to this brief fling until 2017.

When she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she revealed as much that they had hung out a little bit. When asked about the rumors, she shared, “We hung out for a minute. But we are very good friends. You know.”

When pressed further on what she meant by “hung out”, she laughed and said, “We hung out a little bit. You know, it’s like how I hang out, I don’t know how you hang out…”

Twin Shadow (2015-2016)

Twin Shadow, real name George William Lewis Jr., was linked to Zoë Kravitz back in 2016. She met the singer-songwriter through her musical career, when her band Lolawolf was set to go on tour with Lewis Jr. However, the tour was cancelled after he got into an accident. In May 2015, Twin Shadow and Kravitz performed together on Late Night with Seth Meyers. They performed a cover of Sade’s No Ordinary Love.

In July 2015, he spoke highly about Kravitz during an interview with Nylon. He had to undergo a hand surgery after the accident, and he shared that Kravitz checked on him during his recovery and appreciated her “big heart”. He shared, “Zoë really is so down-to-earth. She surprises you with how natural she is.”

By 2016, rumors had it that they were dating, as they were often seen out together. However, it did not last much longer, and we have little clue as to what might have caused their split.

Karl Glusman (2016-2021)

Kravitz met Karl Glusman through a mutual friend in 2016. She loved that she and Glusman didn’t meet on a movie set or an app (via Vogue UK). She further shared that she “instantly felt something” when she met the actor. Soon, they made their relationship public.

They made their red carpet debut at the Primetime Emmys in 2017. In February 2018, Glusman and Kravitz got engaged. She kept the news hidden for almost six months before revealing it to Rolling Stone during an interview. She shared:

Oh yeah, I’m engaged. I haven’t told anyone yet — I mean, I haven’t told the world. I wanted to keep it private. I was in sweatpants. I think I was a little drunk. I could feel his heart beating so fast — I was like, ‘Baby, are you okay?’

They got married in June 2019. The wedding was attended by high-profile celebrities, including her mom Lisa Bonet, her stepdad Jason Momoa, her Big Little Lies co-stars Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Reese Witherspoon, and director Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The couple split 18 months later, with Kravitz filing for divorce in December 2020. Kravitz shared with ELLE that the divorce was more about her learning about herself. She shared (via PEOPLE):

Karl’s an incredible human being. It really is less about him and more about me learning how to ask myself questions about who I am and still learning who I am, and that being okay. That’s the journey I’m on right now.

Their divorce was finalized in August 2021.

Channing Tatum (2021-2024)

Channing Tatum‘s relationship with Zoë Kravitz began in 2021 when she approached him to star in her directorial debut, Blink Twice. Tatum later shared during an interview with Extra that working with her on the movie cemented their relationship.

In November 2023, Kravitz was seen wearing an engagement ring at Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party (via BBC). It was reported that they got engaged a month earlier after two years of dating.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he opened up about his then-fiancée. He called her his “best bud” and shared that he was so happy with Kravitz that he didn’t even know how to put it into words. He shared:

I’m so happy. I don’t even know how to really put it into words. She’s so special. And, yeah, I don’t know, to get to wake up every day and create with somebody, it’s really, really good.

However, they called off the engagement in 2024. During an interview with Variety after the breakup, Kravitz praised Tatum for his charismatic role in her movie.

Harry Styles (2025- )

Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz sparked dating rumors when they were spotted together on a walk in Rome (via @HS_News_/X). In the video, she wrapped her arm around Styles’ arm. They were later spotted on multiple outings throughout the year. In December, a source shared that their relationship was moving forward smoothly. They shared with PEOPLE:

Harry’s been spending long stretches of time in Rome this year. Zoë has joined him several times since late summer… They just stroll around, meet up with friends and live a very relaxed life. They have great chemistry.

Most recently, the couple sparked engagement rumors after The Sun published photos of the couple walking on the streets of London. In the photos, Kravitz can be seen wearing a massive ring. The couple has yet to confirm these engagement rumors. Given Kravitz’s secrecy about their private life, it could take months before she admits to anything.
