Season 7.5 kicks into high gear this week with the introduction of the Marvel Rivals’ second PvE game mode, Blood Hunt. In this new experience, teams of 4 players face off against hordes of bloodthirsty vampires to save New York City from the Vampire King, Dracula. Each playable hero has Blood Hunt-specific abilities, traits, and gear they can utilize to defeat the waves of undead.
Blood Hunt features 6 playable characters, 4 boss fights and the New York map as its playground, so here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming PvE experience:
- Playable Heroes: Squirrel Girl, Moon Knight, The Punisher, Blade, Jeff the Land Shark, and Thor
- Bosses: Cap Wolf, Ratatoskr, Dracula, Kingpin
- Map: New York (Times Square, Central Park, Lower Manhattan, and Midtown)
- Difficulties: Normal, Hard, Extreme, Nightmare 1-70
Players can join a match solo or team up with friends in co-op with up to 4 players. Defeating the monstrous waves in succession will pit players against the ferocious bosses. The trailer for the PvE mode also shows off a new Arcana system, which players can use to boost a hero’s defensive and offensive capabilities.
Character customization has been expanded for this PvE experience, along with a dedicated hero progression system, offering players more options to create unique builds and slay monstrous creatures more efficiently across New York. Additionally, duplicate characters can be used in this game mode.
If you’re familiar with how the gameplay loop and mechanics worked in the Marvel Zombies PvE mode, you’ll have no issues easing into Blood Hunt in Marvel Rivals. However, there’s no confirmation if this new game mode will be a permanent addition, but you can expect to know that once it officially launches.
