Marvel Rivals has a lot of characters from the Marvel Universe to choose from; however, NetEase butchered some of the most iconic ones that players have had an emotional connection with for years, including Wolverine and Iron Man.
Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jr.’s heroes are so bad that it can actually feel like playing with a bot in the game. They do not have anything of use to offer and have minimum to no impact on the game.
Wolverine and Iron Man are the worst picks in Marvel Rivals
Wolverine does absolutely nothing; he has no attack damage, and it feels like dragging an angry man across the map, waving his claws at anyone who comes near without inflicting any damage on the enemies.
His actions look more like a desperate attempt to stay relevant in the Marvel Universe rather than a widely celebrated superhero who has a glorious past full of amazing feats. However, NetEase seems to have taken the charm out of him and made him appear weak and bulky. He has absolutely no impact on the game.
Treyllo, a content creator on YouTube, shared his opinion on the matter through a short that he shared on YouTube. Talking about Wolverine, he said:
How do they butcher this character? One of the most iconic in all of Marvel. His claws are made out of fu***ing marshmallows, leading to zero damage output; Wolverine does absolutely nothing.
Iron Man, on the other hand, seems to have become a shell of its former self. He has become too rusty. His attacks are not at all satisfying to use, and he is one of the easiest targets to take down while airborne.
Iron Man was known for his agile movements, and he used to inflict damage in quick succession. However, now it seems like you are dragging a heavy truck through the air while vomiting lazy beams from your suit. The game aims at making you believe you truly are Tony Stark but fails to make it exciting.
NetEase needs to buff them up a little
NetEase needs to come up with a buff for both Wolverine and Iron Man. These characters deserve better, especially because they are amongst the most popular superheroes. in the entire Marvel Universe. The game aims at making you feel like the superhero you play with.
It ruins the experience of playing the game if you are unable to pick the characters you love. The biggest appeal of Marvel Rivals is that it belongs to the Marvel Universe, and if the most popular heroes are the ones sitting behind, then it does not do justice to the source material.
The game is relatively new, and the developer still has time to come up with a fix and figure out how it can buff these two characters up without disturbing the balance of the game. Do you like playing with Wolverine and Iron Man? Let us know in the comments below.
