Bidding adieu to a handful of TV shows that ended in 2024, fans are still recovering from the grief. And this year? We should prepare for more of the same, it seems. So, while keeping track of every series from different streamers that is set to end in 2025, we’ve come up with a list of a few Prime Video shows that will wrap their runs this year.
Although not every series mentioned in this list has a premiere or finale date just yet, let’s take a look at all the departing shows that we need to say goodbyes to. So, with a heavy heart and a bit of nostalgia, let’s begin scrolling.
5. Upload
A sci-fi comedy-drama TV series, created by Greg Daniels (popularly known for The Office, Parks and Recreation), Upload, hit the streamer in 2020, starring Robbie Amell, Allegra Edwards, Andy Allo, and more. Set in the near-future world of 2033, the show played with the idea of people having the ability to upload themselves or rather their consciousness into a digital afterlife, following their death.
With Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell) and Nora Antony (Andy Allo) taking viewers on an emotional rollercoaster with their unusual romance that went beyond life and death, the show delivered a satirical yet intriguing exploration of technology, class, and relationships. In the meantime, through the combination of humor and heart, Upload has dealt with several serious themes through its three seasons.

And now, after Prime Video renewed the sci-fi comedy Upload for its fourth and final season back in March 2024 (via Variety), the show is expected to release sometime in 2025. Set to bring an end to Nathan and Nora’s story while providing the answers to many long-standing mysteries, fans will need to brace themselves for a bittersweet farewell.
4. Bosch: Legacy
Beginning its run in 2022, the crime drama spinoff series Bosch: Legacy, developed by Michael Connelly, Tom Bernardo, and Eric Overmyer, arrived on the streamer to continue the story of Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), from the acclaimed seven-season Prime Video original Bosch. This time, the show introduced a new protagonist, Maddie Bosch (Madison Lintz), Harry’s daughter, as she began her career in LAPD as a rookie cop.
Further, with its gritty storytelling and complex characters, which followed Harry’s new chapter in his career where he found himself working with a one-time enemy, Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers), Bosch: Legacy managed to carry on the original show’s reputation as one of Prime Video’s finest dramas. However, just as with every other good thing, even this spinoff must come to an end.

THR had previously dropped the announcement in September 2024, about Bosch: Legacy coming to an end with its third and final season in March 2025. Bringing closure to Harry’s relentless pursuit of justice and Maddie’s evolution as a cop, the Prime Video spinoff series is awaiting its final goodbye from fans, for what seems like the end of an era.
3. The Boys
Now, the one we’re set to discuss is arguably one of Prime Video’s most groundbreaking shows of all time—The Boys. Premiering in 2019, Eric Kripke‘s iconic series based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book, redefined the superhero genre with its dark satirical take. Allowing people to venture into a world where even “heroes” are corrupt, self-serving, and outright dangerous, Kripke’s show garnered a stunning 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Further, thanks to a beast team of actors, including Karl Urban as Billy Butcher and Antony Starr as Homelander, Eric Kripke’s The Boys managed to shock the audience with jaw-dropping twists, gory violence, and biting social commentary. Overall, venturing from exposing corporate greed to critiquing celebrity culture and political extremism, the Prime Video show became a fan-favorite source of binge-watch, as it never shied away from challenging people’s perspectives about society.

But sadly, as Eric Kripke had previously announced that The Boys will end with Season 5, the show has started developing its ultimate showdown since the end of Season 4. Therefore, with the production of The Boys’ fifth and final season having begun in November 2024 (via Collider), it is expected to drop the thrilling and emotional conclusion by the end of 2025.
2. Good Omens
Based on the beloved 1990 novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, Good Omens premiered in 2019 and quickly became a fan-favorite fantasy show. Well, why won’t it be? Considering the positive reception of Marvel’s animated Thor series, which was developed by Gaiman, the Prime Video show was expected to be a beloved source of entertainment, since its inception.
The series follows the unlikely friendship between an angel named Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), and a demon named Crowley (David Tennant), and their attempt to prevent the approaching Armageddon. Now, in order to do so, the two friends are supposed to find the missing Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy named Adam Young (Sam Taylor Buck), who is unaware of his fate.

Meanwhile, after season 2 of Good Omens released in 2023, the show captured the hearts of millions with their heartfelt moments, and whimsical storytelling. But sadly, following the end of the second installment, it was announced that the show will end with Season 3, and have one 90-minute finale episode (via Radio Times). With filming set to begin in 2025, the show is expected to wrap its run on Prime Video by the end of this year.
1. Harlem
Reaching the end of our list, we have Tracy Oliver’s comedy-drama series Harlem, which took the internet by storm following its debut in 2021. Narrating the tale of friendship, love, career, and dreams in one of New York City’s most iconic neighborhoods, the show follows four ambitious women—Camille (Meagan Good), Quinn (Grace Byers), Tye (Jerrie Johnson), and Angie (Shoniqua Shandai)—as they grapple with the challenges of modern life.
Thereafter, with its unapologetically Black and feminist perspective, celebrating sisterhood, Harlem earned immense praise from audiences and garnered a fresh 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. In between its humorous take on life events, the show also tackled important topics like identity, mental health, and societal expectations, that resonated deeply with the modern audience.

But even this popular show has reached its end. After Prime Video dropped the third season trailer for Harlem, it confirmed that the series will be wrapping up beginning on January 23. And then onwards, new episodes will roll out weekly. Well, for fans, saying goodbye to this show might feel like losing a group of close friends. So buckle up for the end.
