He even went so far as to adopt her son from a previous relationship, Quincy. Initially, it might have seemed like a he-said-she-said situation. However, that quickly changed when a 2016 surveillance clip of the rapper mistreating and abusing the 38-year-old went viral. Fans were left outraged and so was the musician’s baby momma, Misa Hylton. According to reports from USA Today, the fashion designer took to her Instagram in a now-deleted post to voice her anger.

I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her.

Hylton continued, “I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma.” Although the designer did not delve into her past problems, her anger at the situation was clearly visible. After all, the video that sparked outrage featured Diddy allegedly hitting, dragging, and kicking then-girlfriend, Ventura, at a Los Angeles hotel.

While the lawsuit was settled out of court, according to reports from The New York Times, Diddy ended up apologizing to Ventura in a now-deleted post on Instagram. Although his troubles with her ended, it wound up paving the way for various other models and stars to come forward with their own claims against the music mogul.
