What Will Devil May Cry Season 2 Be About?

Season 2 is expected to expand Dante’s battle against increasingly dangerous demonic forces while diving deeper into the franchise’s mythology.

Season 2 is just way, way, way bigger in terms of scope and scale. So it’s the difference between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. That’s the comp. Or Halo 1 and Halo 2, where, in terms of just scale and scope, orders of magnitude bigger and larger. And the tone is just completely different on top of that. The tone is very, very different, so it cuts deeper.

Fans are also expecting a bigger focus on Dante’s twin brother, Vergil, one of the franchise’s most important and favorite characters. The teaser and trailer of the series also give a wider view of the show without giving away much of the central plot. Nevertheless, the show’s signature gothic horror, over-the-top action, and stylish humor are expected to return.
