When and Where Will Leviticus Release on Streaming?

As one of Neon’s most anticipated releases, Leviticus has generated a strong interest among movie fans. An Australian coming-of-age, romantic horror film, it follows two teenagers who are plagued by a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire the most – each other (via Neon).

While the film has been released in the US on June 19, many are wondering when it will be available for streaming. Although Neon has not officially announced its streaming release details, here is all we know so far!

What is the Expected Streaming Release Date for Leviticus?

At the time of writing, Neon has not confirmed when Leviticus will become available for streaming. However, the studio’s recent distribution history offers some helpful clues.

Unlike major studios that often move films to streaming within two or three months, Neon typically gives its theatrical releases a longer exclusive cinema window, especially for prestige titles and awards contenders.

We can see the same with prior releases like The Monkey or No Other Choice. Each film’s release seems to be based on its box office performance, and there is generally a four to five-month gap between theatrical release and subscription streaming for many of its recent films.

If Leviticus follows the same pattern, viewers can reasonably expect the film to arrive on streaming around four to five months after its theatrical debut. So, fans can expect the film to be released on streaming by October or November 2026.

Until Neon makes an official announcement, this remains the most realistic estimate. 

However, once the theatrical run is completed, the film will be available to rent or buy on Video-on-Demand platforms like Apple TV and Prime Video. It is expected to be released on VOD by August.

Neon does not currently operate its own dedicated streaming service, meaning its films typically arrive on third-party platforms after completing their theatrical and premium video-on-demand windows.

In recent years, Hulu has emerged as the primary subscription streaming destination for many Neon releases. This is because of their multi-year output deal that provides Hulu with the exclusive streaming rights for the studio’s films after their theatrical release (via Screen Daily). 

This ongoing partnership has made Hulu the most likely destination for new Neon films, including Leviticus, in the United States. As for where it will be available for streaming outside the US, those details vary from region to region as it has not yet been released worldwide.

This deal does not change its digital rental and purchase options, as the film will become available on the usual VOD platforms after its theatrical release window closes.
