Where Does VisionQuest Fit on the MCU Timeline?

Marvel fans heavily associate the date with Wanda taking possession of the Darkhold in the MCU timeline. This brings us to the next question: where does VisionQuest now fit on the fictional timeline of the Marvel universe?
Previously, showrunner Terry Matalas discussed the show’s timeline placement with Polygon. He noted, “Years have passed since WandaVision. I would say we’re about current with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Based on his statement, VisionQuest should be set around 2028, aligning it with the same period as the events of the Tom Holland blockbuster.
Will Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff Appear in VisionQuest?

However, Matalas said that Paul Bettany, who stars as the titular character, had an amazing idea for a scene in the later episodes of the series. “Who he is within that particular scene is kind of amazing, and that we were able to pull that off. I want to make sure that people don’t think I’m teasing Wanda, because I’m not teasing Wanda,” Matalas stressed.
Meanwhile, Bettany himself has kept fans guessing about a possible reunion. When asked about Olsen’s return, he said that the answer was “a matter of secrecy” and that it was a “secret” even to him.
The first two episodes of VisionQuest can be streamed on Disney+ on October 13. The next episodes release weekly through the series finale on November 10.
