Spoiler Alert !!!
This article contains spoilers from Dragon Ball Super manga.
Dragon Ball Super has no shortage of exciting stories, but some of the manga’s best arcs have yet to make it to television. The new Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is revisiting the early story with an enhanced retelling, covering events from the beginning of the series rather than moving straight into new adventures.
For this ranking, only Dragon Ball Super manga arcs that have not received a full anime TV adaptation are considered. The Super Hero arc has already been adapted into a movie, but its manga version includes extra material, which certainly deserves to be animated as a TV anime.
4 High School Saga Lets Goten and Trunks Become Superheroes

In manga Chapters 88 to 90, Goten and Trunks become superheroes known as Saiyaman X-1 and X-2. With school life and secret missions, the two Saiyans get a chance to have fun while protecting their city.
This short arc could make a refreshing change from the usual world-ending battles. Goten and Trunks have spent years taking mostly supportive roles to the older Saiyans, so seeing them lead their own story would be a welcome change. However, the smaller stakes make this arc less exciting than the other entries, which offer bigger fights and more important developments.
3 Super Hero Saga Puts Gohan and Piccolo in the Spotlight

Gohan and Piccolo take center stage, and both heroes get major moments that remind fans why they remain important to the franchise. The main story has already appeared in the 2022 movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Still, the manga has something extra to offer. Its later chapters feature a sparring match on Beerus’ planet, where Beast Gohan faces Goku in his Ultra Instinct form. An anime TV adaptation could bring this fight to a wider audience and give fans more time with these characters. This arc ranks above the High School Saga because of its bigger battles.
2 Granolah Saga Unleashes Vegeta’s Ultra Ego and Black Frieza
Vegeta debuts his most powerful transformation, Ultra Ego, in Dragon Ball Super manga. | Credit: Viz MediaThe Granolah the Survivor Saga takes Goku and Vegeta into a conflict shaped by the Saiyans’ past. Granolah, the last survivor of the Cerealian people, wants revenge for what the Saiyans did to his race. As the battle grows, the manga also reveals more about Bardock and his connection to Granolah’s family.
The biggest draw, however, is the arrival of new powers and an enemy who could change everything. Vegeta awakens Ultra Ego, while Chapter 87 ends with Black Frieza easily overpowering Goku and Vegeta. That moment alone would make a spectacular anime episode. The saga takes second place because of its major revelations and exciting transformations, but Moro’s story offers a more complete adventure from beginning to end.

The Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga introduces Moro, an ancient sorcerer who drains life energy from planets to restore his strength. Unlike many of Goku’s enemies, Moro relies on magic and energy absorption rather than martial arts alone. His arrival also brings the Galactic Patrol into the spotlight, giving Dragon Ball Super a chance to explore more of its wider universe.
What makes this saga the strongest choice is how it develops both Goku and Vegeta. Goku works to master Ultra Instinct, while Vegeta travels to Yardrat to learn new techniques that can help him defeat Moro. Their separate journeys make the final conflict more rewarding, and the stakes keep rising as Moro becomes more dangerous.
The best part is that fans won’t have to keep waiting for confirmation, as Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, the anime adaptation of the Moro Saga, is already in production (via the official website). This makes it one of the most exciting upcoming projects for the franchise.
