When Is Tomb Raider King Coming Out?

Tomb Raider King is scheduled to premiere in July 2026. While the production has confirmed the release month, an exact release date has not yet been announced. It is a common thing, as the anime will be part of the Summer 2026 lineup. We can expect a concrete release date by mid-June.

What Is Tomb Raider King About?

The story is set in an alternate modern world where mysterious things called “God’s Tombs” appear all over the world. These tombs contain the powerful, often sentient, ancient relics that grant many superhuman abilities to the people who use them. This story is often compared to Solo Leveling for its themes.

We follow Seo Joo-Heon, a man with a profession called a tomb raider, who extracts these relics for the TKBM group, a dominant and corrupt corporate entity. The TKBM leadership eventually betrays him, leaving him to die during an expedition in a high-risk tomb. Instead of dying, he goes back 15 years into the past, in his original body, before the tombs became widely known.

Retaining all of his memories and extensive knowledge of the future, Joo-Heon sets out to secure the most powerful relics before others can even find them. His primary objective is simple: build his own faction, dismantle the TKBM group, and exact revenge on the people who orchestrated his death.

Cast and Crew: Everything We Know

Studio EEK is handling the production for this anime. The project is being directed by Seung Wook Woo. Hyun Joung Lee handles the anime character designs, adapting the original artwork by 3B2S. The music is composed by Ju Young Kim, with Kisuke Koizumi serving as the sound director.

Yoshimasa Hosoya is voicing the protagonist, Seo Joo-Heon. He is known for his previous work as Reiner Braun in Attack on Titan and Fumikage Tokoyami in My Hero Academia. Saori Hayami voices Irene Holton, and she previously played Yor Forger in Spy x Family and Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer. Furthermore, she voiced Yachiyo in the recent Netflix hit Cosmic Princess Kaguya! However, that’s not all, as Taejoon Kwon is voiced by Junichi Suwabe, the voice behind Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Is There a Trailer for Tomb Raider King?

Kadokawa has released the first promotional video for the anime on their official anime YouTube channel, KADOKAWAanime. The trailer is being called PV1 and was uploaded to the channel following the official announcement. The video has already surpassed one million views.

The trailer shows the protagonist in his moments before his death, fighting a big serpent-looking monster inside a tomb. While the trailer offers no other information, the animation looks spectacular. We can be assured that a story this amazing is being handled with care.

Where to Watch Tomb Raider King?

The current broadcasting schedule confirms that Tomb Raider King will air on television networks in Japan, specifically on Fuji TV and Kansai TV (as per the news posted on the official website). Currently, there is no confirmation regarding the anime streaming on Western anime services, as services such as Crunchyroll have not announced the acquisition of international licensing rights for the anime.
