Chris Hemsworth is ready to prove he is worthy with a fifth Thor movie now reportedly in development. The rumors were surging for a long time, the studio confirmed the news pretty recently. Although not much is known about the plot or premise of the movie, Hemsworth’s return as the titular hero has been established.
As a result, Marvel and Hemsworth’s fans in general seem pretty excited about the film. There is, however, another rumor about the movie that is currently making the rounds. That is, Chris Hemsworth reportedly arranged a meeting between Kevin Feige and George Miller.
Miller and Hemsworth worked together for the 2024 Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. According to reports, the Marvel star plans to swap Taika Waititi after the disastrous 2022 Thor: Love and Thunder with his new director friend.
Chris Hemsworth reportedly plans to swap Taika Waititi with George Miller
Fans had tremendous hopes for the Thor: Love and Thunder movie back in 2022. Unfortunately, Marvel actor and director Taika Waititi’s vision failed to fully materialize which led to massive disappointment for fans.
It could be argued that it was impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdowns being at the peak when the majority of the production process took place. Nonetheless, the palpable disappointment for the lackluster film was reflected in Chris Hemsworth as well.
It seems the actor is finally ready to rectify that mistake by taking control in the next movie. According to World of Reel, Hemsworth has apparently helped mediate a meeting between Marvel boss Kevin Feige and Australian director George Miller.
Hemsworth and Miller collaborated on the 2024 movie Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which garnered tremendous praise from audiences and critics alike. As a result, the report came as a pleasant surprise to fans. Moreover, the outlet claimed that there are plans being made for a solo Hulk movie as well.
Chris Hemsworth bringing George Miller into the Marvel fold has fans excited
According to the report, the February release of Captain America: Brave New World would make way for an upcoming solo Hulk film. The movie, already titled World War Hulk, would presumably revolve around Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk losing control after his wife’s death and going on a warpath against Earth’s protectors.
A high-intensity action drama, Hulk’s solo debut on the big screen has many fans hyped up for it. George Miller, for his part, has shown interest in superhero movies for a long time. In fact, he was once on board to direct Justice League: Mortal, before it was shelved during pre-production.
As a result, reports of his inclusion in the projects come as good news to many. If anything, fans have been appreciating Chris Hemsworth more for setting up the meeting with Kevin Feige for the upcoming movie.

— Jai (@MBJ_Studio) January 10, 2025Fans of Hemsworth, along with Marvel fans in general seem super excited for the movie. If anything, the reports of Mark Ruffalo‘s return for a solo Hulk movie have added more charm to it.
However, it is important to mention that it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. It will be interesting to see if the studio comes out with its own statement on the matter anytime soon.
