They say: A heat-styling brush from Quo Beauty that features infrared technology to help style hair with a lower temperature and less damage. Create smooth curls with the heated ceramic-barrel tool, which features four heat settings ranging from 320 F to 400 F.

We say: We’ve tried a few heated round brushes over the years, and we’ve got to say, this is one of the best. A perfect tool for those who like the look of a bouncy blowout without the work, we found this round brush produced big, bouncy curls that were sleek and shiny.

They say: A mineral sunscreen with a sun protection factor of 50, this sunscreen-serum hybrid features skin-boosting ingredients such as botanical extracts, hyaluronic acid and plant-derived sugars to hydrate and plump skin. Rhodiola root and echinacea extract promise to absorb excess oil and reduce the look of pores. Available in two shades.

We say: How to summarize this sunscreen in a word? Wow. It’s that good. Our tester applied it after her usual skin-care products. The product blends nicely onto skin, offering a subtle tone correction in areas of redness. The formula was comfortable to wear throughout the day and delivered on its promise to tame our tester’s oil-prone skin. It’s going to be a new favourite this summer.

They say: A floral cologne from Jo Malone that features notes of sweet carrot, orange blossom, fennel 3 and white musk. Said to be inspired by the carrot blossoms gathered in a vegetable garden, it’s a subtly sweet scent that’s nice and fresh

We say: Don’t let the carrot name fool you. This is anything but a veggie-forward fragrance. Instead, our tester found it to be a pleasantly powdery floral scent on her skin that had an alluring note of something different.
