The Ottawa Police Service says charges are pending against a man who was arrested following an investigation into “a suspicious incident involving children” near the Munster Community Centre.

On June 17, a news release said a day later, Ottawa police received a report that four children under age 12 were approached by an unknown man driving a sport utility vehicle near the community centre. The man reportedly made inappropriate sexual comments toward the children before leaving the area.

There were no reported injuries and no physical contact, police said.

Investigators were continuing to interview those involved, the release added.
