One of the biggest urban fantasy action-adventure gaming franchises, Devil May Cry has once again returned to rule the industry, but this time it has taken a different route. The creators of the game decided last year to adapt the story of Devil May Cry into an anime adaptation, and the trailer for the upcoming series has finally been released.

The war between Demons and Humans is the central theme of the game, and the same theme will be followed in the anime series as well. However, this time there may be some new twists that are only going to enhance viewers’ experiences.
As soon as the trailer was launched, the fans of the popular video game and the anime community came together to praise the efforts of the creator. The brilliant animation and the world-building of the series are the perfect proof of the fact that anime adaptations are way better than live-action adaptations.
Dante is Returning With The Devil May Cry Anime Series
The news about Capcom’s Devil May Cry being adapted into an anime series was announced in September last year. The project was taken over by film producer Adi Shankar and Studio Mir, who are majorly known for creating the anime series Castlevania. Even Capcom was involved in the project to help in the smooth flow of the narrative and plot development.
While there was no major news after the announcement, Netflix decided to reveal the trailer for the upcoming series through Geeked Week 2024.
It brings the main character, Dante, to life with its amazing animation and a slightly unique storyline that might not be a part of the original gaming series.

The series will also take some inspiration from the Devil May Cry manga series that was based on Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening, which is a prequel to the original game. Devil May Cry and anime fans are in for a surprise with the series, which is scheduled to be released in April 2025 on Netflix.
Devil May Cry Fans Are Happy That The Series Got An Anime Adaptation
While the fans are happy that the series is finally getting a decent adaptation, they are more happy about the fact that Devil May Cry is returning with an anime adaptation rather than an anime adaptation. If history has taught us anything, live-action adaptations are rarely a success.

Thus, as soon as the trailer of the series was released, fans expressed their happiness for the game being adapted into an anime, which is much more enticing.

The animation looks great and hopefully, the narrative structure also lives up to the expectations.
