The movie takes place after the events of Season 3 and before the events currently airing in Season 4. So what is the plot? One month after the Tempest Founder’s Festival, a sudden side quest comes up for Rimuru and his companions, as they get invited to a private resort.

Who invites them? It is the Celestial Emperor of the Magi Dynasty Salion, aka Elmesia El-Ru Sarion. However, no sooner do they arrive than things take a turn for the worse when they meet Yura, a priestess from the undersea nation of Kaien. She asks Rimuru for help, as danger lurks in her kingdom.

Now, little to anyone’s surprise, Rimuru accepts the request, and the team heads into a deep-sea adventure filled with tough foes and a nation to save. So, as you can tell, it is a side story to the main plot of the Slime Isekai anime. However, watching Rimuru and the others in theaters will surely be a blast.
