Runescape: Dragonwilds Law Rune Locations: How to Get Them Fast

If you’ve just started playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds after the full release, you’ll find out early on that Law Runes are one of the most useful resources. If you’re starting to fast travel a lot, you’ll need Law Runes for Loadstones and various magic abilities. On top of that, the cost of traveling can increase depending on your distance and carried weight.

While you craft Law Runes yourself, you don’t have to wait around till you’re able to. The developers at Jagex have given us several ways to find Law Runes around the world. The best part is that you can have a reliable supply while also progressing.

Best Law Rune Locations in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

The easiest way to get Law Runes early on is through Anima Vents. You’ll find them throughout the world, and they give you Law Runes directly, making them particularly useful before you reach the Runecrafting level required to craft them yourself.

One easy place to find them is in Temple Woods, close to the church near the beginning of the game. There is an Anima Vent in this area that can be harvested for Law Runes. Since this is close to the starting area, make sure to place a Loadstone nearby to make it easy to come back for more.

Another easy place to find them is near the Runecrafting Guild. Set up a Loadstone close to the vent so you can quickly return once it becomes available again.

You can also travel farther across the map to several other locations:

• Bramble Valley: Look around the area near the health pickup and the nearby island for another Law Rune source.
• Dungeon/Vault area: A vent can be found toward the upper section of one of the dungeons. Be prepared to deal with enemies, including rats and other hostile creatures.
• Goblin camp: A Law Rune source can be found around a goblin camp. You can carefully place a Loadstone to collect the resources without attracting too much attention.
• Fractured Plains: You can find the vent around a small structure in this region.
• Emberwood: The northwest portion of Emberwood also contains a Law Rune location.

This isn’t all the spots where you can find Law Runes, but they are some of the easier ones to find and chain. Make sure to remember that the Anima Vents respawn after three in-game days. So you need to repeat the route periodically.

While traveling between the locations, mine any nearby Rune Essence you encounter. Enemies inside dungeons can also provide Rune Essence. You can also find them in chests.

It’s also worth placing Loadstones directly beside your preferred farming spots. This will require more resources at the start, but it will save time since you’re repeatedly making the same trip.

How to Craft Law Runes

Eventually, you’ll want to stop relying on the world-spawned Law Rune sources and craft them yourself.

As of the 1.0 update, you need 1 Rune Essence at a Rune Altar, which gives you a base amount of 5 Law Runes before bonuses. Law Runes can stack up to 9,999. And importantly, you don’t lose them if you die.

The Runecrafting progression is therefore worth investing in while you’re farming. Mining Rune Essence and collecting Law Runes from Anima Vents both contribute toward your Runecrafting progression.

Until then, you’ll have to rely on Anima Vents to keep your inventory stocked. Teleportation becomes important as you explore more of the world, so you’ll want a steady Law Rune supply to save time.
