More than two dozen types of frozen waffles are being recalled in Canada due to possible listeria contamination.

The waffles were sold under the brand names Great Value, Compliments, Western Family, Selection and No Name. They include original waffles as well as other flavours, including blueberry, chocolate chip, cinnamon and homestyle.

Anyone with these products in their freezer is advised to throw them away or return them to point of purchase.

Symptoms of listeriosis includes vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, headaches and neck stiffness. The elderly, people with weakened immune systems and pregnant women are most at risk.

So far, there have been no reported illnesses tied to the products. Anyone who thinks they became ill from eating the waffles should contact their health care provider.
