I can’t help but draw comparisons between the type of scare tactics that some of those on the left attempted to use against Stephen Harper, and those that are now being perpetuated by critics of Pierre Poilievre. The warnings about Harper’s supposed secret agenda and his alleged plan to implement said agenda if he won a majority never came to fruition. The fact is, Pierre is no boogeyman. Attempting to portray him as such reveals more about some of his detractors than it does about him.

(Canadians just don’t believe it. They are so fed up with Trudeau, voters are looking for the complete opposite of what we have endured the last nearly decade)

TERROR JOB MARKET

The elimination of Hamas terror boss Yahya Sinwar by the IDF is both good news and bad news. The good news is that Sinwar is now as dead as Mr. Praline’s Norwegian Blue parrot. The bad news is that LinkedIn and career services throughout the Middle East are losing members due to potential replacements unsubscribing — and of course recent inactivity.

(Good riddance)

NECK AND NECK RACE

What does it say about the United States when you have a presidential candidate who is a convicted felon, a pathological liar, a racist, a misogynist, a draft dodger and basically a disgusting human being and yet is running neck in neck with the Democratic candidate, i.e. Kamala Harris. God help the U.S.A.

Peeter Oolup                                                                                                                                                  Collingwood

(It says millions of Americans can look beyond the sideshow because they liked what Trump did for the economy and their pocketbooks when he was president)

HARRIS WILL BE A DISASTER

Kamala Harris’ disastrous, rude and condescending interview with Bret Baier of Fox News was her most revealing yet. She exposed herself as a phony as she lied about the “broken border” not being her fault after four years in power. And showed her true and dishonest self as she evaded, ducked and weaved, and wouldn’t answer his direct questions. Her pathetic vacillation was an utter fail, as was her refusal to apologize to American victims of her imported crime spree. But by the same token, it was also a hard and dark look into her ‘turn-the-page’ presidency if she should win. Heaven help us all if that happens.

Neil Staff                                                                                                                                                        Whitby

(It is the follow-up question that Harris can’t seem to handle. Scary indeed)
